1. NITI Aayog wants Lok Sabha and state assembly elections to be held simultaneously, the proposal is presently going on judgement, although the Aayog claims that the reason for want of such type of elections is because of policy paralysis induced during the model code of conduct in the state during elections. The NITI Aayog and Law commission is yet to decide that these type of simultaneous elections would damage India`s federal structure or the basic feature of a constitution.
2. All the Political Party`s having their representative at the centre gear up for the monsoon session of Parliament starting on 18th July. The opposition parties will meet on Monday to decide on the strategies to oppose the various govt. policies during the session. The topmost agenda is to finalise the candidate for the deputy chairman post of Rajya Sabha that goes vacant since PJ Kurien retired from the post on 1st July.
3. Congress on Sunday slammed PM Narendra Modi on his remark about the Congress party made earlier which said as " Congress is a party for Muslim men only " and that highlights his sick mentality. PM Modi in his speech on Saturday from Azamgarh washed out the Congress party on its stand on Triple talaq and Muslim women of the society. The Congress party alleged BJP of dividing the society into cast and gender basis.
4. BJP`s Ravi Shankar Prasad on Sunday questioned the Congress supremo Rahul Gandhi on keeping silent on the remarks he made for that "Congress is a Muslim party". The BJP cross-questioned Congress on their allegations made on the PM being of Sick mentality. The senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad called this a shameful allegation and called it a desperation of the Congress party and made charges on the party for patronizing politics beyond communities.
5. The Telegu Desam Party has sought Justice in the matter of Andhra Pradesh from Non Bjp and Non congress party in Parliament through a written letter before the starting of Monsoon Session. N Chandrababu Naidu the chief of the party who stepped down from the NDA alliance for his stand on special status being given to the state of Andhra Pradesh which the centre did not granted. The letters were addressed to party presidents and leaders and asked their cooperation in TDP fight in the centre for the state of Andhra.
6. In another allegation made on PM Modi, the CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal at a speech in Indore said that in the era of 5G and Technology, the PM remains obsessed with his Hindu Muslim politics and divide. The AAP leader made remarks by saying that while the world is talking about technology, development and progress our PM is all busy describing parties on the basis of religion. Kejriwal announced Alok Agarwal as IIT Kanpur alumni to be the next AAP Chief ministerial candidate from the state of Madhya Pradesh. Agarwal contested the election from the state`s Khandwa district in the 2014 lok sabha polls.
