So far, humans have come to know about only one planet that has human life. Of course there are projects being carried out where life on Mars is a possibility and humans might become Martians someday. But that is a long way to go, improbable too. So, all of us, as the citizens of Mother Earth, should find it as our responsibility to save the only home we know of. There are several companies in USA, Canada, etc such as Calgary Recycling that are doing a great job at making Earth a better place by installing recycling bins in their vicinity and extending it to the whole country. But is that really enough? If we all are participants in polluting the planet, shouldn’t we all be responsible for cleaning it too? The answer lies within you.

To enlighten our readers more on the issue, we have brought this article where we have enlisted various benefits of recycling. Now, these may sound a little textbook to you, but recycling is the way to go if we need a future at all for our coming generations. Read on to know more:

1. It conserves natural resources

Recycling is basically putting to use what has already been used before. It is no secret that natural resources are finite and cannot be created by man again. When we recycle wood and paper, we are conserving trees and forests. When we save metals, it means that the need to mine for more ores and metals through risky and even deadly procedures is reduced. It is really as simple as it sounds. Save what we have and use it as many times as it can be so that existing natural resources don’t have to die an untimely death merely because we humans are too lazy to care for the planet.

2. Protecting the ecosystem and the wildlife

There have been many incidences where wild animals have invaded the residential areas. You know why? Because we took away their home from them and now they have nowhere to go. Just think that why would an animal need to come to the city if he has enough forest land. Animals are made to survive in the wild, they are made to live in forests and that is their only home. When we cut or burn down forests for wood, land, and other needs, we are destroying their home.

3. Recycling reduces climatic changes

Global warming is no joke. It is real, it is happening and it is happening now. Recycling means lesser need to create new materials and thus, spending lower energy on sourcing, it produces a lot lower carbon emissions. It is of utmost importance that carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases that are dangerous for every living thing on the planet must be reduced from being emitted into the environment. This is essential if we intend to stop the disastrous climatic change in the world and hope for a better place to live in.
