Ever since its invention in 1950, Italian Coffee developed its own culture. The fact remains the same; just like other countries, everyone in Italy loves this amazing energizer.

Coffee is such a part of Italian culture that the idea of not drinking it next to impossible.

Just like the Italian rituals are set in stone and are not easy for outsiders to understand, similarly, coffee is deep-rooted in the Italian blood.

Italian Coffee is undoubtedly famous all around the world and the coffee machines known as the espresso is found inside every local cafe, restaurants, and of course coffee shops.

Italians only drink coffee varieties like cappuccino, caffé latte, macchiato, or any milky form of coffee only in the morning and prefer to avoid it after a meal.

They simply cringe at the thought of hot milk hitting the stomach when it is full.

Another golden rule of ordering coffee in Italy is to never use the word espresso rather you can switch it for caffe.

Italians drink a lot of coffee on a day but not a huge amount at the time. They prefer small steady doses.

Therefore, if you simply love a large cup of coffee, then simply it is not happening at an Italian coffee shop.

The following coffee types are very famous in all the shops around Italy. Though many prefer to consume coffee while standing when in Italy you must sit on the pavement tables or a cafe to take your cup of coffee.

Here are a few types of Italian Coffee

Caffe: This name is given to small espresso, that is served on a small cup and is drank whole day long.

Cappuccino: Truly the most popular coffee variant in Italy, Cappuccino is basically a fine blend of espresso, milk, and foam.

Macchiato: It is an espresso married to the famous cappuccino. Along with a small cup of cappuccino one or two drops of milk is mixed on it to render a different taste.

Caffe Latte: Caffe Latte is simply two third glass of milk, one-third espresso and of course a little foam. Italians simply love this coffee type owing to its amazing taste.

Other than these, marocchino, shakerato ice coffee and others are available at famous coffee shops in Italy.
