If you ask me from my personal experience I would say choosing the best engineering college and the field of study that made the most sense to me was the greatest ever decision that I made in my life.

Choosing the best engineering college gives you a good platform to step into your future as a professional engineer. No doubt that the demand for engineers is on a rise all over the world, not only in popular IT companies, but also in core engineering department. So your first aim as a prospective engineer should be to secure admission at the best engineering college. My aim was to get admission in the top engineering college of Haryana, JMIT and thankfully because of my good marks in entrance I made it through.

You will be able to get a degree that is worthy enough to fetch you a good job. So in order to pursue a good engineering career in the best engineering college you need to be sure of some very important things.

Checking the AICTE approval: what actually is AICTE and how does it matter when you choose the best engineering college? AICTE or All India Council of Technical Education is a major governing body which was firmed to check the authenticity and quality of education in the top engineering colleges in India. The engineering colleges approved by the AICTE have the complete right to recruit students based on their JEE rankings and if the engineering college does not have an AICTE approval it cannot issue a valid certification to students.

Choosing the branch of Study:

There is no branch that has absolutely the best scope, as there is a continuous need of engineers in every field. Our World will always need infrastructure, so we will always need civil engineers. The need for electricity will always be there, so electrical engineers will always be in demand. Computers have become essential so computer engineers will always be needed. Does all this confuse you? Well the crux of all this contemplation is to make you under that each and every branch of study is important but what is important to consider is the fact that if you are a good engineer in your branch of study of your own choice, you will always stay in demand, but if you choose a branch of study that only gets you good money but you don’t have any interest in it then trust me you will be a bad engineer with no goal in life.

So an important lesson that I learnt as well is to understand and make note of what you like, once you have finalised on the branch, try to see the best engineering college where you can get admission for that particular branch. According to me this strategy works best as it worked for me too. So go ahead and be what the World wants to be, an Engineer!
