Plus size women can dress beautifully, as well

Plus size has been a debated topic in the fashion world for a long time. Women who wear plus size have been told by society that there are certain things they can or can’t wear. First of all, this is not a matter of can or can’t! Every woman CAN wear whatever she wants!! But there are should’s and shouldn’t’s for every body type that guides women to emphasize their favorite parts and hide their less favorite parts. Being plus sized doesn’t mean one can’t look fabulous or elegant as the occasion demands. There are a whole lot of plus sized, who dress amazingly well and are about to make a huge comeback in the fashion scene. All it takes as a plus sized is to know how to match the right pieces together and the right measure of confidence.

Even if you’re plus sized, you have the ability to build a unique wardrobe. It is more important to be wary of clothing styles, textures, colors, and designs as they can help you bring out good or bad parts. You should understand that light colors draw people’s attention to areas you like or want to show off, while darker colors have the effect of concealing your not so favorite attributes. Wear clothes with small prints as large prints tend to make one look bigger. Know how important diagonal and horizontal stripes are and how uncomplimentary horizontal stripes would make you look. But never forget, you don’t dress to conceal yourself but to show your beautiful body. Shine with popping colors and body wrapping cuts.

Be Sure of What Color Suits You Perfectly: Colors that compliment can make your skin tone glow, while the wrong one can make your skin look dull. It is best to pair baggy with fitted. For instance, if you decide to wear a baggy blouse, best pair it with a fitted pant and vice- versa.

Understand the Basics of How to Highlight or Conceal Certain Areas of Your Body: Certain patterns, colors, and designs tend to draw attention or take attention away from you or your figure. A basic rule is, dark colors often hide whilst bright colors tend to draw interest, and also darker colors are often advised for plus sized with bold accessories. Example; most plus sized women attend elegant shows wearing a dark-colored dress. Note that big patterns can make you look bigger hence; small patterns make you look smaller.

White on White: Although stated the importance of darker colors for plus sized women, white on white is a pair that fundamentally applauds one’s self-acceptance towards being plus sized. It is best worn with a dose of confidence and it suits all seasons. While an unofficial rule of fashion states, that we don’t wear white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, for the right occasion, white works even in winter.

Take The Risk and Explore: Understand the essence of embracing your curves and your amazing body. If you feel good, you look good. Most plus size women aren’t willing to take the risk of anything tight fitting and some ladies don’t even shop in the dress section. It’s understandable to prefer something looser that hides problem zones but there are certain times, you should want to show off your body. Dress shapes that work for oversize are for example A-line, empire waist or straight cut dresses. Depending on your body type, there are different options that work better than others. Most important is, that you embrace your body and don’t try to hide it. With the right clothes, this challenge might seem less hard. There are many articles on the internet that help you in detail to find the perfect shapes, colors, and patterns for your size, shape and skin tone. Don’t be afraid to dress in color and accentuate your figure.

So this summer, I reckon to break boundaries and wear all the trends according to your comfort and confidence level.
