Burani Raita for Hyderabadi Biryani: The Perfect Companion

Well, here is the recipe of it with complete list of ingredients used and the procedure to make it and to eat along with Hyderabadi Biryani.

While it’s true that people worship Biryani. It’s kind of enjoys the status of god in food. The Hyderabadi biryani is a stand out food item & can be in hearts of everyone along with the taste buds. But here, we are talking about the perfect companion to have with the biryani. It is Burani Raita which can give different touch to your experience of Biryani.

Burani Raita is unique in several forms which gets dished out in many food places. It’s creamy & cool, subtly spiced & possess a hint of garlicky taste which makes it a perfect companion to have with the Hyderabadi Biryani.

Thick Curd is whisked to stay away the lumps, after that cream & the milk gets included & whisked again. The addition gives the creamy texture for it. The masalas which goes in preparing are only couple of them such as red chilli powder, & cumin powder. But also, the usage of garlic juice makes the raita a stand out performer. The fine paste of garlic-ginger runs through a sieve for extracting the juice. Then the Burani Raita added to give a hint of garlic flavor & goes well with aromatic & tasty Hyderabadi Biryani.

INGREDIENTS FOR THE RECIPE:

  • thick Curd-400 grams
  • Milk-¼th cup
  • Fresh Cream-Two tablespoon
  • Ginger Garlic Juice (Pass the Ginger-Garlic paste through a sieve)-One tablespoon
  • Red Chili Powder-¼th teaspoon
  • roasted Cumin Powder-¼th teaspoon
  • Black Salt-½ teaspoon

METHOD OF PREPARING:

  1. In a big vessel, place curd. Whisk to keep the lumps away.
  2. Drop cream & milk. Whisk again.
  3. Include Black Salt, Red Chili Powder, Cumin Powder & Garlic-Ginger Juice & mix it properly.
  4. Refrigerate till gets ready to distribute.
  5. Creamy, Subtle & Garlicky flavored Burani raita could be enjoyed with Biryani.
