Industrial fans are in high demand these days in India. With the number of factories increasing along with increase in industrial output, there is a demand for different types of industrial fans. The industrial draught fans play a very significant role in the industrial manufacturing process. Draught fans are broadly classified into two types i.e. Forced Draft Fan (FD Fan) and Induced Draft Fan (ID Fan)

Industrial Ventilation:Fans are used in residential situations for comfort and ventilation. So it is natural that the first thing that comes to our mind when we think of application of industrial fans is ventilation of industrial plants. No doubt industrial draught fans are used for industrial ventilation but they serve many other useful purposes.

In addition to proving fresh air within factories, industrial ventilation also involves removing gases that are produced during the industrial process from the factory premises. Sometimes, in certain industrial processes harmful gases are created due to the manufacturing process. The function of the draught fans is to extract out such gases from the factory premises and protect the workers from the harmful bye-products of the manufacturing process.

Industrial Drying:Drying of the manufactured product is an important role that helps in improving both the quality and speed of the manufacturing output. Industrial fans for drying are employed in a variety of industries from food processing to automobile manufacturing plants.

De-dusting:In de-dusting fine dust particles are removed from the exhaust air current. One way of de-dusting the air current is by using the bag filter fans. The draught fans can be used in several types of configuration based on the type of industry and size of the fan. Dust collection and de-dusting is a common requirement across a variety of industrial processes.

Material Handling:Draught fans are used extensively for material handling. The density of the material to be conveyed determines the type and configuration of the draught fan that will be suitable for the purpose. Sometimes, based on the material being conveyed the fan construction needs to be abrasion resistant. As an example of using fans for material handling, in thermal power plants crushed coal and air mixture is conveyed to the furnace via large draught fans.

Combustion Air For FurnacesIn industrial settings the draught fans are used extensively for supplying combustion air for the smooth operations of the furnace. For combustion of the fuel three things are needed fuel, air and heat. The air supplies oxygen that is needed for the combustion to happen. The air that is supplied for combustion is typically pre-heated by the flue gases. There are two types of draught fans in this scenario, the primary air fan and the secondary air fan. The secondary air fan is used when needed to ensure the fuel is fully combusted by adding additional air when needed.

Industrial Draught Fans Essential for Smooth Running of Industrial PlantsIndustrial draught fans make air suitable for humans by removing poisonous gases, air contaminants, smoke, and decrease hostile scents. In addition, they aid in the efficient and cost effective industrial processing. The industrial fans allow for variety of applications and are used in almost every industry. No wonder they are essential equipment for the smooth running of the industrial plants.
