Everyone wants a beautiful home. You want to come home and sigh in awe at the beauty of everything you see. You want it to be perfect. Best of all, you deserve your home to be perfect. To help you have that perfection, here is a list of 5 different plants, pieces of furniture, and works of art that will pull your home together and make it better than what you dreamed it to be.

Find the Plant That Fits Your Personality

Plants can be gorgeous if you find the right one and if you put it in the right place. However, avoid being too cliché with your plants. Instead of following what everyone else is putting in the corners of their homes, find something that registers with your personality. If you love purple but you also don’t have a green thumb, get an African Violet. It blooms bright purple flowers every couple of months and is extremely easy to keep alive. Simply put an ice-cube on the soil other day and you’ll have a beautiful thriving plant. If you love plants but you don’t like fragrance or flowers then try out this list of great indoor succulents. Succulents are nice because they require very little efforts to keep alive and they’ll even reproduce without you having to plant a new seed.

Splurge On That Piece of Furniture You’ve Always Wanted

Everyone has a piece of furniture that they have always dreamed of having in their home. If our goal is to create the house of your dreams, then we need to get your dream furniture into your home. Maybe you’ve been dying to get a new couch to replace the old one that you’ve had for years. If so, then go out and get your new couch. If you’ve been drooling over that same custom-made glass tables, then look more into the design you want and buy it. Your home isn’t going to be complete without that piece, so please, make your life better and splurge this once.

Put Up Your Favorite Work of Art

Some people are more into sculptures and others are more into artwork. If your soul is a country soul then find a beautiful landscape that reminds you of your rural roots and hang it over the fireplace. Or if you’re spicy and modern, find a print of a large Jackson Pollock and place it in a hallway where people can gawk as they walk by. Or, find a sculpture that fits your personality. Whether the piece is a social statement, a look into a beautiful past, or simply something pretty, find something that you feel comfortable with.

Out With the Old and in With the New

You have the closet. We all do. The closet that is full to the brim with old things that you say are for a rainy day but we all know that they will never be used again. Free yourself from all that junk and get rid of it. It will be freeing. Imagine how it will feel once you’ve completed the task and instead of a cluttered closet, you’re staring at an empty and clean closet. It will be worth it. Then you can start using the closet for real storage.

Rearrange Your Furniture

Rearranging your furniture is a great way of making your home feel new without spending a dime. The steps are simple. Take the furniture you have and move it around. Maybe move furniture into a new room to make it feel completely different. Make space more convenient and more accessible because no one sets up their house perfectly the first time they set things up. It’s perfectly normal to rearrange your home multiple times in a year--anything that will keep things feeling new to you.

The most important step of all is to make sure everything feels and looks like you. If you want to be happy in your home then your home needs to be something that you love.
