Bodega Sur is an Argentine bistro in Lakeview East with a spirits store that allows patrons to shop while they eat or eat while they shop. It is an upscale and cozy bistro that offers a mix of traditional Argentine classics as well as some modern inspired creations. The menu is unique and so is the setting - intimate and plush. However what strikes the most about them is the House Specials. Here's what you can look forward to in this much-loved section of the menu.

The Best of In-house Preparations - Sumptuous & Classy

Seafood Offerings: If you are a seafood fan, there a 10 oz. portion of salmon; Atlantic salmon fillet that's lightly fried and served with a white wine, a slice of lemon on the side, dressed in dill and cream sauce, sauteed with carrots and asparagus. Yes, it is pretty much drool-worthy with all its colors and aroma. Also, there is the broiled lobster tail, which is prepared by marinating the lobster in piquant garlic lemon butter. Once it absorbs the flavors and is cooked perfectly, it comes to your table served over grilled vegetables and with mashed potatoes on the side.

Meat Dishes: For meat fans, Mar Y Tierra is one of the popular options. It is a plate of grilled filet mignon that comes with chimichurri and spinach mashed potatoes. Also, on the side you get jumbo shrimp sauteed with tomatoes, onions and bell peppers. Alternatively you can go for grilled veal steak. It is a perfect balance of strikingly different yet complementing flavors. It is a serving of 12 oz. cowboy cut seasoned with a spiced rub of chimichurri. On the side, you have arugula salad in a lemon garlic dressing - tempting right? Also, there's buttermilk battered calamari served with tomato and ginger sauce in case none of the above excite you!

Selected Drinks: In drinks, there is a choice of two drinks. One is La Pina, a mix of Cruzan pineapple rum, Cruzan coconut rum, and pineapple juice. And the other is Cazcabel, which is a mix of Mezcal banhez joven, tamarind, line and cayenne.

With so many interesting options on offer, Bodega Sur and its house specials certainly deserve a try. Order them for online for a delivery to your doorstep or simply reserve a table to try them piping hot! Whichever way, they will delight your taste buds and leave you craving for more.
