Troubleshoot Installation & Updation Errors of Windows 10

Windows 10 and its installation process is vulnerable to mistakes, glitches and hardware errors like any complex piece of software. Here are two most common problems raised when installing or upgrading to the new version of windows:

RUN THE WINDOWS UPDATE TROUBLESHOOTS: -

Windows 10 includes a troubleshooting program that can automatically detect and try to fix problems. This troubleshooting program is very helpful when you are not sure about the cause and solution of error. Just follow the below steps to diagnose your windows errors by yourself.

Step 1: - Press the windows button and type "Troubleshoot" in the search box and wait until the "System Settings".

Step 2: - A new tab will open on display, look for the "Get up and Running", after that select the option "Windows Update".

Step 3: - In the Windows Update you will see the "Run the Troubleshoot". Select it to "automatically start the troubleshoot" and wait for it ends.

Step 4: - It will look for everything from missing updates to corrupted files and if it finds any issues, it will notify and ask to choose one option from "Apply this Fix" or "Skip this Fix". Since you are trying to fix the update, choose "Apply this Fix" for better results.

A list will pop-up on your desktop which shows the problems has been found and fixed. At this point, you just need to select "Close" to end the process.

ERROR CODES ISSUE: -

The programs will stop to display and gives error while Windows 10 Installation process. There are hundreds of error codes which you can face while installation or upgrading the Windows 10.

Here are some basic steps you can follow to solve error codes issue:

Step 1: - Unplug unnecessary devices from the computer like dongles and flash drivers. For the laptop, except a power cord, every external device should be unplugged. For desktops, remove or disconnects any unnecessary internal hardware. If your PC includes an integrated graphics card or sound card on the motherboard, remove any standalone cards.

Step 2: - If you are upgrading your PC and you have selected a standard upgrade that preserves your programs, removes unnecessary programs before beginning the installation process. Anti-virus programs and drivers for devices like game controller seem to have the most trouble during the upgrading process.

Step 3: - If your windows install or upgrade doesn’t complete, or if you have issues with startup, you might want to disable hibernation, which you can do by typing powercfg/h off into a Command Prompt Window.

Step 4: - Alternately, simply install the OS "Cleanly" preserving your personal files but not the programs. To do so, select "Custom: Install Windows" instead of "Upgrade" during the setup process. You can re-install your programs later.
