The geological pipe and the seamless steel pipe are long-length pipes having a hollow section and no joints at the periphery, and the specifications are expressed by the outer diameter x the wall thickness and the number of millimeters. The geological pipe and the seamless pipe are made by ingoting the steel ingot or the solid pipe blank, and then are made by hot rolling, cold rolling or cold drawing, so the seamless steel pipe is divided into hot rolled pipes from the perspective of the production process. Cold-rolled or cold-drawn tubes, and geological pipes are hot-rolled seamless pipes.

If divided according to use, seamless steel pipes can be divided into mechanical structural pipes, conveying pipes, boiler pipes and geological pipes. The oil-only seamless steel pipe is mainly used for drilling oil and gas wells and conveying oil and gas. It includes oil drilling pipes, oil casings, and oil pipes. The oil drill pipe is mainly used to connect the drill collar and the drill bit and transmit the drilling power. The oil casing is mainly used for supporting the well wall during and after the completion of the drilling process to ensure the drilling process and the normal operation of the entire well after completion. The pumping seamless steel pipe mainly transports the oil and gas at the bottom of the oil well to the ground.Oil casing is the lifeline for maintaining oil well operations. Due to different geological conditions, the downhole stress state is complex, and the combined action of tension, compression, bending and torsion stress acts on the pipe body, which puts high requirements on the quality of the oil casing itself. Once the oil casing itself is damaged for some reason, it may result in a reduction in production or even scrapping of the entire well.

According to the strength of the steel itself, the oil casing can be divided into different steel grades, namely J55, K55, N80, L80, C90, T95, P110, Q125, V150 and so on. The well conditions and well depth are different, and the steel grades used are also different.

The oil casing itself is also required to have corrosion resistance in a corrosive environment. In the complex geological conditions, the oil casing is also required to have anti-crushing performance; the seamless pipe for low and medium pressure boilers is made of high-quality carbon structural steel by hot rolling or cold rolling, and is used to manufacture various structural low and medium pressure boilers. Superheated steam pipes, superheated steam pipes for boiling water pipes and locomotive boilers, large smoke pipes, small smoke pipes and arch brick pipes.
