HMS, established in 1991, has now developed itself into one of the major players in the commodity and processing markets in Malawi. We began with commodities and then quickly realized there was a huge market for finished products. We initially commissioned a maize milling plant and subsequently expanded into lentils (Pigeon Peas), Rice Milling, Soap Manufacturing and Wheat Milling. We are based in Chigumula (just outside Blantyre) with 70,000 square metres of land dedicated to our business. Mr. Venkat Raman Danda is the Managing Director and is spearheading the expansion plan of H.M.S Foods and Grains Ltd.

The current workforce comprises 250 employees, including skill personnel who have worked in India and other countries. Our expertise is unparalleled in Malawi.
