BookMyBai: Mumbai Startup Raises funding from Japanese Investor

Bookmy Bai, an online home help company based in Mumbai, has raised an undisclosed amount of funds in the pre-A round of the ARUN Seed Social Fund in Japan. Other Japanese investors also participated in the financing round.

The funds raised will be used to expand market share in cities that already have a presence, along with launches in Hyderabad and Delhi.

BookMyBai was founded by Anupam Sinhal and Vickash Chowdhury in 2015. It provides an online platform for homeowners to hire home help flawlessly. The platform provides home helpers through various categories, including a maid, babysitter, babysitter, sheikhs and cooks.

The platform carries out a comprehensive check-up of assistance with identification, verification of documents, personal interview, and training sessions to provide reliable local assistance to its users.

The market offers more than 50,000 experienced local assistants in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Surat and Kolkata.

"They have been able to influence the lives of thousands of marginalized women who are earning enough money to support families," said Satoko Kono, president of ARUN LLC. "We consider this an opportunity to support an emerging company that is not only sustainable but also has a significant social impact among rural families.

The platform also plans to launch a multilingual application for workers through which workers can search for a job in real time, allowing workers to help them find a suitable job based on their needs.

In early 2015, BookMyBai startup news daily raised millions of rupees from the investment platform based in Hyderabad at 50K Ventures.

Other players in India are Helper4U, MyDidi, GDH Workforce, MyChores and others.

India's domestic assistance industry is largely unorganized. The incursion of new companies in this sector will only ensure that there is a home helper platform to find jobs easily, but it will also provide easy access to home help for homeowners. BookMyBai has raised an undisclosed amount in the pre-A-round financing round, led by the ARUN Seed Equity Fund in Japan. Other Japanese investors also participated in the financing round.

The emerging company will use a new capital to increase its market share in cities that already have a presence. Emerging companies will also use funds to start operations in Hyderabad and Delhi.

BookMyBai had earlier raised?1 crore from Hyderabad-based investment platfrom 50K Ventures in 2015.
