Arduino is an open source electronic platform and easy to use hardware and software. It can be easily handled with different types of components. Arduino software will be useful for beginners and also for advanced users. Arduino boards can be able to read analog and digital input signals from sensors. The software, called Arduino IDE(Integrated Development Environment) which is used for writing and upload programming to the board. In Arduino embedded c programming language can be used and the programming is similar to c language.

Codebind Technologies offers ipt in coimbatore for students. There are different types of Arduino boards are available. The difference is various numbers of input and output pins. Most of the beginners using Arduino UNO board because it can be easily handled and the pins available in, the board will be less. The components are Power USB, Power jack, Voltage regulator, Crystal Oscillator, Reset, Analog pins, Digital pins, Micro controller, ICSP pins, Power LED indicator, TX and RX LEDs, AREF.

Power USB:

Arduino can be powered by using the USB cable from your computer.

Power jack:

Arduino board can be directly powered by AC power supply by connecting it to the barrel jack.

Voltage regulator:

It controls the voltage given to the Arduino board and stabilize the DC voltages used by other processing elements.

Crystal Oscillator:

It helps in dealing with timing problems and frequency range is 16MHz.

RESET:

Start the program from the beginning.

Analog pins:

There are 6 analog input pins are available in which the pins to be A0 to A5.It can read the input signal from the sensors and converted into digital value that can read by the microprocessor.

Digital pins:

There are 14 digital I/O pins available out of which 6 pins are PWM (pulse width modulation) output pins. The symbol (~) can be used for PWM pins.

Micro Controller:

Every Arduino board has its own microcontroller. Integrated Circuit can be different from various boards. Microcontrollers are manufactured by ATMEL company.

ICSP pin:

It is an AVR, refered to as Serial peripheral interface. It could be considered as "expansion" of the output.

Power LED indicator:

The LED will turn on when Arduino into power source, then only it can be working correctly. If it is not light up, something wrong in Arduino connection.

TX and RX LED:

digital pins 0 and 1 responsible for serial communication. TX led flashes while sending the serial data with different speed. The speed depends on the baud rate used by the board. Rx led flashes during receiving data.

AREF:

It stands for Analog Reference and used to set an external voltage as the upper limit for analog input pins.
