The yarn refers to a structure composed of a continuous length of interlaced fibers. They are suitable for use in the production of textiles, sewing, crochet, knitting, weaving, embroidery and rope making. However, the fancy yarn deviates from the normal yarns.

The basic profiles of fantasy threads are spiral threads, Gimp, Slub, Knob, Loop, Cover, Chenille and Snarl. The fantasy effect can be chosen in two ways.

Spiral Yarn:

Plying technique used here. In general, two simple threads of different thickness and level of twist are folded with a slight advance of the advance thread. The fancy spiral thread is a folded thread with a soft spiral of one component around the others. The delivery of one or more of its components at a higher speed can produce fancy yarns with spirals, so the shorter length of the component forms the core, while the longer component lengths create the spirals.

Gimp Yarn:

Both the placement technique and the hollow spindle process could be used to make this thread. Using a hollow spindle, process two ground strands in which the rounded tape can be bent into a wavy shape.

Loop Yarn:

The thread arrangement of the component threads to form loops is similar to that of Gimp shown in the following figure. The considerations for the loop yarns are the type of fibers, the applied torsion level and the percentage of overfeed employed in the profile stage.

Knob Yarn:

The threads of knob can be built by means of the system of union or of drag using an advance of 150-200%, but the profile is not so well defined visually as in the spinning process because a drawing tape is used as a component of the profile.

The Knop yarn contains prominent bunches of its component arranged at regular or irregular intervals. The use of rollers capable of being operated independently generally makes this elegant yarn: central component - intermittent delivery and effect component - continuous delivery. Therefore, the effect component is attached to the nucleus and grouped into a group or node by the insertion of the torsion.

Cover Yarn:

The threads of the cover are manufactured by the coupling process, the thread arrangement is identical to that of the control wire. Two pairs of rollers that control the wires are made to start the stop as necessary. However, instead of stopping, each pair of rollers in turn will decrease at a speed that allows the other yarn to wrap around those fed by the slowed rollers.

Slub Yarn:

The production of the ground and injected Slub yarn was considered in this case. The wick is replaced as a component of the profile, and is stopped and periodically started according to the necessary length and separation of the Slub.

Chenille Yarn:

This was originally done by Leno's weaving, two weft threads are placed between each crossing of the weft threads. After weaving the weft, the extended length between the warp yarns is cut to produce the pile effect.
