There are many production methods for seamless tubes, mainly using perforation and other methods to produce seamless metal pipes around. The seamless tube has an outer diameter ranging from 0.1 to 1425 mm and a wall thickness of 0.01 to 200 mm.
Seamless steel tube production process: The billet for hot-rolled tubes has round, square or polygonal ingots, rolled billets or continuous cast tube blanks. The quality of the tube blank has a direct impact on the quality of the pipe. 1. Cold-rolled and cold-drawn tubes are produced for the production of small-diameter thin-walled, precision and profiled pipes. The production feature is a multi-process cycle process. Cold rolling with periodic cold-rolling tube machine, the elongation rate can reach 6-8. In the 1960s, it began to develop in the direction of high speed, multi-line, long stroke and long tube blank. It is mainly used to produce extremely thin precision pipe with wall thickness less than 1mm. The cold rolling equipment is complicated, the tool processing is difficult, and the variety specifications are not flexible. Usually, the cold rolling and cold drawing combined process is adopted, that is, the cold rolling is used to reduce the wall to obtain large deformation. And then get a variety of specifications by cold drawing.
2. Three-roll mill production is mainly used to produce thick-walled pipes with high dimensional accuracy. The pipe produced by this method has a wall thickness accuracy of ± 5%, which is about twice as accurate as that produced by other methods.
