To say that email marketing is a powerful tool that real estate agents should use is easy. But doing it, is more complicated than it seems.

Your real estate marketing strategy can not go by just one or two tools, or forms of communication. For every customer who likes to receive emails, there are another one or two who will not even look at it. So the word that should lie in your head is: segmentation.

In order to increase the success of your email marketing campaigns we leave some tips that will help you to plan and create newsletters that your customers want to read.

1- Target the audience:

It's no use starting to create a newsletter if you do not know who to send it to. A general message will not interest a lot of people.

A client of yours, who has just bought you a home, will not be interested in an email that shows your new recruitment.

But you may be interested in tips on how to make a change, or an article that shows the interesting and useful points of the city.

Know very well who and with whom you will "talk". Targeting your audience correctly is not an easy task, but it allows you to target your contacts as accurately as possible so you never waste time or waste a contact sending information to those who do not need or need it on their terms.

2- You know what that means?

Want to inform the client, give news about an event, give tips, inform or want to share a business opportunity or new properties?

It is important that you first know what to say so you can say it. Define the message and be clear and objective with your purpose in sending the newsletter.

3- Already have target, defined audience and segmented. Now: customize:

Adapt it carefully to the recipient - for example, it is different to speak for a younger age group, the needs and interests will be different than for example for an older age group. Make sure you speak exclusively to anyone who will listen.

4- Test, submit, and analyze the results:

Check and verify. Confirm that you do not have any spelling mistakes, that all the links work well and say everything you want to say. Another important issue is the time / day to which it sends - realize, through the analysis of behaviors (opening, clicks,...) what times your target audience is most receptive. (We can not give tips on the best time / day because it is not an exact science. All audiences are different and have their own schedules but one thing is certain should avoid Mondays from morning and Friday to the end of the day.

To say that email marketing is a powerful tool that real estate agents should use is easy. But doing it, is more complicated than it seems.
