IIM Kashipur, Uttarakhand- An awesome place to learn and grow

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur became a part of the elite league of IIMs in the academic year of 2011 under the supervision of IIM Lucknow. At present, the country has twenty IIMs, each has been set up by the Government of India and IIM Kashipur is one of them.

IIM Kashipur is a business school for the candidates willing to pursue their career in management. Several events are organized by the Institute for the welfare of students. ‘Uttishtha’ is one of such events organized by the institute. Being an Entrepreneurship Summit, ‘Uttishtha’ acts as a platform for entrepreneurs to inspire and guide budding entrepreneurs. Another event conducted by the institute is ‘Coalescence’, which is a platform that brings different domains together to share their expertise with the students of IIM Kashipur.

The institute basically offers postgraduate programs in management under various fields such as Postgraduate Programs in Management (PGPM), Executive Postgraduate Program in Management (EPGPM), Executive Fellowship Program in Management (EFPM) and Fellow Program in Management (FPM). Admission to these programs is done based on the scores obtained by the candidates in CAT (Common Admission Test), GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) and EMAT (Executive Management Aptitude Test). Candidates seeking admission are first of all required to register themselves. The curriculum like any other IIM is hectic but fun. A total of 22 highly qualified professors are there in the institute at present, which are actually better at imparting wisdom. We can say that the faculty of the institute is one of its major aspects.

While considering the placements of IIM Kashipur, we can have a number of good companies or organizations that visit the institute. The selection of students is based upon their academic scores, their ability to represent themselves and their participation & performance in the events conducted by the institute. The average salary offered is INR 49,075 and the highest per month salary has reached up to INR 1, 29,100.
