The first and foremost duty you have is to get a dress that the bride chooses from a wide range of bridesmaid dresses and you will have no option but to get it and the bride will usually cover the cost of it but the choice of dress mostly relies on the bride and you should not take away that right from her because it is her special day and everything should be going to plan according to what she wants. The second role which is the most important role you will have is that you have to plan the bachelorette party and the bridal shower and not just plan it, follow through it and make sure it is also carried out according to the plan and also according to what the bride would expect from the specific event or else she might be left dissatisfied and unhappy and it is your job to make sure that does not ever happen throughout the days leading to the wedding. Even though the bride is supposed to handle and choose her dress, it is also one of the jobs of the bridesmaid to help and advice the bride on what kind of dress she should get and if a dress is not nice they should always advise her as you would not want her to mess it up on her big day. On the wedding day you will be expected to be a kind of an advisor to the bride on the day and also tend to all her needs and also make sure not too many people try to bug her on the day as she will not have time to attend to everyone. The bridesmaid should also look to make sure that the bride is comfortable and all her tasks are being done on time such as the arrival of her dress, her makeup and if her transport is on time without having the bride to ask about all of this as this is just going to stress her out and no one wants a bride to be stressed out on her wedding day, she should be rather relaxed and calm.
