How to plan your preparation and crack the IAS entrance test?

IAS (Indian Administration Services) IAS Officer is the most popular dream that floats in front of the eyes of Indian youths. Nevertheless, the journey to this wonderful career is not that easy and requires hard work, determination and proper planning & time management choose right guidance the sharpness of mind, higher probabilities preparation of IAS Exam.

1. A lot of questions are being asked from

Subjects such as history, art & culture, science & environment. Therefore, as an aspirant, you must focus on these subjects and drive more efforts solving questions from these subjects. to clear IAS exam. Preparation is the most part of clear the IAS entrance exam

2. Revision is the most important part of your preparation

It doesn't matter how much you have studied, but how much you have retained, so revise at regular intervals. Solving previous year question papers and mock test papers. It will help you to improve on your weak points and answer the question in the stipulated time period. The first thing is to know the IAS Prelims Syllabus and then cover the important topics first.

3. Time management

Listen to the short news and do not waste time in listening to unnecessary discussion based news unless the topic demands it. Use memory techniques that speed up your learning.Frequently practice giving tests and writing answers. That will work as revision and practice. Take up online test series for regular practice. Start giving IQ tests and getting to know about logical reasoning. Give your opinion and discuss the news daily.

4. How to write answers

It focusses on testing the candidate on various levels. The time limit for the essay paper is 3 hrs without a word limit, but for the optional paper, there are questions with specific word limit like 250 words in optional subjects and 250 words, 150 words and 20 words in general studies. The candidate then has to prepare himself to answer all types of questions. The most important thing to be kept in mind is the time constraint

5. Critically

An important term and a favorite of IAS. Whenever it is asking Critically Examine, Critically Comment or Critically Analyze just remember that you have to write both pros and cons and give a fair, unbiased or value loaded judgment. It should always give a feeling of closure."Increasing the women population may increase the number of dependants in a family in rural India and for a while it may be counterproductive but as more girls get educated they will find jobs and support their families.

6. Preparation of General Studies

IAS Exam General Studies comprises a vast ocean of subjects and this paper needs to be mastered in order to reach the Mains examination. Since the official syllabus does not give much detail of the topics to be studied under each subject it is expected to gain knowledge of them that should be slightly below the graduation level but definitely above the high school level.
