NIMS University Rajasthan, Jaipur, which was previously known as National Institute of Medical Sciences, was established in the academic year of 2008. As the name itself suggests, it is a medical paramedical and technical university. Looking into the history of NIMS University, by starting a medical college, the establishment of NIMS Group took place. The university was built with the help of Government of India and was approved by the University Grants Commission. One of the major aspects of this university is that it has emerged as the largest and best self-financed university in North India.

When it is about colleges, the infrastructure is one of the major talks. The infrastructure was built with great efforts providing with a sprawling campus, which is spread over an area of 60 acres. The campus of the college is kept clean and well maintained by the authority. The name of the college and its quality upkeep reflects the quality of education. Various aspects and features of the college do reflect its ability to stand out. The university has a large garden of medicinal and fragrant herbs for educational standards. All these steps were taken by the university lead towards the uninfected, unpolluted and sterile environment of the university. The university provides various services in the college premise itself. Banking services including a fully functional IDBI bank, ATM facility which facilitates the accessibility to bank accounts and postal services.

The faculty members give meaning to the university. The members are highly qualified and possess good knowledge of their respective subjects. They are the main source of knowledge. The faculty members are always helpful towards students and most recent techniques and technologies are used while teaching. Each student is given attention as the students are of different capabilities.

There are several courses offered by the university including MBBS, BDS, BPT, BOT, B. Sc, B. Tech, BBA, BCA, B. Pharm, B. Arch, BHMS and LLB. There are many more courses offered at postgraduate level as well namely M. Tech, MBA, MCA, M. Sc, LLM and MD. All the courses are affiliated to NIMS University. Candidates seeking admission to the medical programs are required to appear and qualify NEET examination. And the admission is given to the students based on the merit list prepared. While admission to technical courses is based on the entrance examination. GATE examination is of great importance in order to take admission to postgraduate technical programs.
