JEE Main Result 2019| Dates, Steps to download the Result, Merit List and Answer Key

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main 2019 examination twice in a year in the month of January and April respectively. The authority will declare JEE Main Result 2019 on 31st January, 2019 and on 30th April, 2019. The result will be available on the official website in online mode only. Candidates can check and download their Result of SRMJEE 2019 by logging in using roll number and date of birth. Along with the result, a merit list will also be released. Admission will be provided to aspirants based on the JEE Main 2019 Result and this result holds the qualifying status of candidates for JEE Advanced 2019.

How to download JEE Main Result 2019

In order to check and download JEE Main Result 2019, an applicant has to follow below prescribed steps:

  • Hit on the official website
https://www.nta.ac.in/

  • Click on the JEE Main Result 2019 link
  • Login into the result portal and enter roll number and date of birth.
  • Now click on the "Submit" tab.
  • The Result of JEE Main 2019 will be displayed on the screen
  • Check the result and download it
  • Take a printout of the result for future use.

JEE Main Rank List 2019

NTA will also publish a rank list along with the Result of JEE Main 2019. This rank list will be prepared on the basis of percentile obtained in both the attempts of JEE Main 2019. The highest percentile will be taken into consideration for ranking purpose. In case the candidate obtains the same percentile in both the attempts then a tie-breaking rule is applied. This rule is stated as follows:

  • Highest percentile in Mathematics is considered as better rank
  • Highest percentile in Physics is given a better rank
  • Highest percentile in Chemistry is allotted a better rank
  • Older age candidates are given preference over others

JEE Main Answer Key 2019

NTA will release JEE Main Answer key 2019 and OMR Sheets soon after conducting the entrance exam. Using an answer key, applicants can calculate their probable scores even before the declaration of JEE Main Result 2019. By estimating the score applicants will get an idea if they will be eligible for admission or not. The candidate is advised to strictly follow the marking scheme while calculating their probable scores using an Answer key of JEE Main 2019.

Applicants can also calculate the total number of correct and incorrect answers using OMR Sheets and then according to that they can calculate the total positive and negative marks. The total score can be calculated by using the given formula:

Total JEE Main 2019 Score = Total positive marks – Total negative marks
