Manav Bharti an epitome for advanced learning

Situated amidst the scenic beauty of Himachal Pradesh, Manav Bharti University sets an example of one of the successful institutions. It is a private university which has been approved by the University Grants Commission and the State Government of Himachal Pradesh. The university is owned by Manav Bharti Charitable Trust that works with the principle of aiming to advance the knowledge and maintain the highest standard of learning. The establishment of MBU took place in the academic year of 2009. The university has been accredited with Grade ‘B’ by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The university has several aspects that be considered while taking admission. It manages to have all the basic amenities provided in the campus itself. The mission of the university is to eradicate illiteracy from the underdeveloped sections of the society and to provide quality education. The campus is enabled with Wi-Fi which eases the access to information for the students. The responsible authority keeps the campus clean and well maintained. The quality of education provided by the university holds great importance. In terms of study and overall development of students, there are various events and seminars conducted by the university. It serves as a platform that helps students to represent their ability and skills. The library is equipped with a large number of books. The books in the library are quite informative with latest editions. It also provides with Boys’ and Girls’ hostel facilities for the students coming from out of the city. There are various computer laboratories, classrooms equipped with projectors, a cafeteria that offers delicious food without compromising with hygiene and outdoor & indoor sports facilities.

The university is incomplete without well-qualified teachers. MBU has a good number of highly qualified professors. The faculty members are the main source of knowledge and possess good knowledge of their respective subjects. They are intelligent, bright and help students to their maximum extent. They try to make learning easy for the students of every category. The most recent technologies are and techniques used while teaching.

The university has various departments namely Engineering & Technology, Computer Science, Management, Pharmacy, Law, and Humanities. There are Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs offered by the university. There are many courses in each of the programs. Admission procedure and eligibility criteria to these programs vary from each other. In order to be eligible for the admission, the candidates must fulfill the criteria designed by the university. Apart from this, there is a 5% marks relaxation given to the students belonging to reserved categories.

The university has taken a step towards success by providing scholarships to the students pursuing a Diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s course, hence creating a large number of students taking admission. The scholarships are provided to the below-mentioned students;

• Scholarships to meritorious students of each category i.e. General, ST, ST and OBC

• Scholarships to other weaker sections of the society

• Scholarships to single girl child students

Besides, the university offers 90% tuition fee relaxation to all the students belonging to Himachal Pradesh in different courses.

The placement cell of Manav Bharti University manages to have an association with several renowned organizations. The placement cell also arranges pre-placement sessions for the students that help them grow in their respective fields. The candidates are shortlisted based on their academic scores and their participation & performance in the events organized.
