So the dates of JEE Mains are closer. Most of you must have prepared well for day and night, must have done lots of hard work to complete your syllabus and practice well, must have covered the entire syllabus, have solved several full-length practice papers, model tests and previous year JEE Main question papers, and are almost done with your revision and hence for the last touch up before performance,here are some intelligent last-minute preparation tips for JEE Mains 2019.

As we all know the last minute preparation is very important. First, you should know all the Do’s and Don’ts :

  • Note down the important topics you need to revise:

Though, it is impossible to revise the whole syllabus, hence, concentrate on those topics in each subject whose weight is high and are quite scoring also.

Revise them from the notes or study material. You can also learn formulas and basic concepts of these topics.

  • Scan your overall preparation:

Make note of all the topics and then divide accordingly into heavier or the lighter weight topics. Analyze your field of strengths and weaknesses. Arrange those particular fields of topics in which you make mistakes regularly. If you have sufficient time then practice those and clear your concept or try to avoid those questions in the exam.

  • Don’t go for any new topic preparation:

Starting a new topic during the last moment of preparation can prove to be a very dangerous one for you. As it would increase the level the stress and will make you patience less which would obviously demotivate you.

  • Take regular breaks from your study schedule:

In every one hour make it sure to take a break of at least 5-10 minutes so that it would bring some kind of refreshment and energy to your body and also will make your mind fresh and calmer.

  • Don’t study for long hours:

This is the most crucial part of the last minute preparation that a student must keep care of is that he/she shouldn’t go for long hours preparation. That would simply make you more stressful and that would anyhow effect your mental state.

  • Improve your sleeping habits:

Make it sure that a week before the exam you must have a proper sleeping schedule. Try to sleep earlier and wake up for earlier so that you won’t have a habit of waking up late which would result to make you feel sleepy while giving the exam.

  • Arrange all the essential things:

To avoid the hassle on the exam day, arrange all important items such asJEE Main 2019 Admit Card, Identification proof, pen, pencil etc. prior to the day of the exam. Read the instructions on the admit card and arrange things you need to bring on that day.

  • Reach exam centre 1 hour before the exam commences:

As there is a famous saying, It is better to be safe than feeling sorry. To avoid any panic situation on the day of the exam, reach your centre 1 hour before the commencement of the exam. Do not go for any risk on the day of the exam.

The important topics that you should never miss to have a last look at before entering the examination hall are:

  • In Integration problems, just differentiate the given options and find out the correct answer.
  • Similarly, in Differentiation problems, integrate the given options and see what fits.
  • Read the question carefully and find out what should be the unit of the answer. Check the options with correct units and then, work on them.
  • Questions from Periodic Table are undoubtedly based on the properties of various elements. If you know them well, you will surely net those marks.
  • In Coordinate Geometry, do not try to solve equations. Just put the given options in the equation and check what fits. It will save you considerable time
  • Electricity-related questions are property-based. Read them carefully and you will find out that only one or at the most two options satisfy the property in question. It will help you to get to the correct answer quickly.
  • Thermodynamics is a common topic in both Physics and Chemistry. Thermodynamics question asked in one subject is generally based on the same concept as asked in another subject, with just the opposite logic. The same thing is applicable to Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Chemistry as well.
  • In Algebra, most of the questions are property-based. Look at the options carefully to see which one has an anomaly. In 99% of cases, an option with the anomaly will be the right answer.
  • Optics related questions mostly have only one-step solutions. Compare options with the given question and you can easily see which one would be the correct choice.
  • Almost 45-50% questions in Chemistry are from Organic Chemistry. Hence, you should know all its reactions well. Compare options with the reactions; only one or two are relevant
  • In Quadratic Equations, 90% questions are based on properties of alpha, beta and gamma where you have to find the sum of roots or the product of roots. Make sure you know the properties well and the rules that need to be kept in mind to solve such questions.
  • Physical Chemistry questions are always numerical, intercepted with questions on Electrochemistry. Knowing this, it will be easier to solve questions from both these topics

Keep calm and plan well and execute accordingly. Taking stress or overthinking the situation will lead you nowhere. It will only make you pressurized. You cannot go to the past and sort out things which you haven't. Just let it be. Remember that this JEE -Mains 2019 Exam is not your last exam and all your future doesn’t depend on this single attempt. Just be relaxed and have faith in your hard work.
