The Jet d’Eau

Most people will know the translation of this is a "jet of water", but this is no ordinary jet of water! In fact it is one of the highlights the city has to offer, and you may well see it en route to your accommodation. Geneva airport transfers may go right past it and you'll see that the jet reaches 140 metres into the air. The fountain can be seen from various points and you may also be able to see it from your hotel. Do be aware that a change in the wind could lead to a drenching if you are not careful and when you are close to the fountain!

Relaxing in the parks

When you board of the many Geneva airport transfers, you are bound to pass by at least one of the many parks this beautiful city has to offer. One of the finest of all is the Jardin Anglais, which translates as the English Garden. This is where you will find the famous flower clock, which is often said to be the best of its kind anywhere in the world. It may not be the biggest anymore but it is definitely still one of the most prized. Thousands of flowers are used to create the display, which changes throughout the year.

Visiting the Old Town

Many Geneva airport transfers will weave their way through the streets in or near the Old Town, but it is well worth returning on foot to explore more of what it has to offer. The Parc des Bastions is to the left of the OId Town and you can wander around the streets and towards the river if you wish. Don’t cheat and take a map – this part of city is filled with cobbled streets and the best way to explore is simply to see where your feet take you! With a couple of thousand years’ worth of history here for the taking, it is well worth spending an entire day wandering around to see what is on offer.

This lovely has plenty more to share with you as well, but these suggestions should get you started in the best possible way - so make sure you make the most of every single one of them.
