1. Remove personal belongings

This exception is usually because some abandoned cars may have been in remote areas for many years and the owners have not found any paperwork. 3. Find valuable parts

If you have agreed to the car price of the junkyard, you should hand it over to them as described in the transaction. 4. Remove the license board

In many states, you must return your license plate to the motor vehicle department before you cancel your registration, and you may not be able to cancel your vehicle insurance policy until the license plate and registration work is completed.

5. Run out of your petrol

If your car is still running before it is sold to the dump, you may need to run out of gasoline before you tow it away. Depending on the size of the tank in your car or truck, the value of the gasoline in the tank may represent a significant portion of the total value you get from the dump. If your car is not running, be careful if you are trying to draw gasoline from the tank. Use only approved containers to carry gasoline, rather than using an oral starter siphon. Don't worry about the gas value of the dump. Before recycling or scrapping parts, they must discharge all the liquid out of the car, and the gasoline in the tank is a nuisance for them.
