About BPSC

Educational Qualifications

The applicant needs to have completed the Graduation Degree from any recognized University in any stream.

Physical Eligibility: For Bihar Police posts,

Male General: Height> 5 Feet 5 Inch, Chest> 32 inches

Male SC/ST: Height> 5 Feet 3 Inch, Chest> 31 inches

Female: Height> 5 Feet 2 Inch

BPSC Prelim Exam

Total Marks: 150 Marks

Duration: 2 Hours

Subjects Covered: General Science, Geography, Current Affairs (National & International), Indian Polity, Indian History (Mainly the History of Bihar), Geography of Bihar & its Rivers, Bihar’s Economy after Independence, General Intelligence, and Bihar’s Contribution in Indian National Movement.

BPSC Mains Exam

The applications need to select a particular subject to give the mains examination.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for General Category is 37 Years Male and 40 Years for Female while 42 Years for the SC/ST Candidates.

Pay Scale

The pay scale is of Level 9 to 6, according to the posts.

Application Fee

For SC & ST applicants: Rs. 150/- + Bank Charges (including 18% GST) Rs. 59/- So, total Rs. 259/- Only
