How to score 90+ marks in your School Exams?
Posted: Feb 15, 2019
Its mid-February, exam season is upon us. Are you prepared?
In this post, I will explain you the ideal method to prepare for your exams, with tips and suggestions for scoring 90+ marks...
Let's begin
First of all, you should do the NCERT Solutions.
That is the minimum requirement for scoring atleast 80 marks in the paper.
At teachoo, we have
Do that.
Then? What next?
Do the Sample Papers provided by CBSE.
Teachoo has Sample Papers for all the subjects, including Marking Scheme and Solutions of important subjects, for both Class 10 and Class 12
Doing both of them, and revising the important questions will get you to 90 marks...
But... How to revise?Oh well, good question. Start the revision by doing the chapters from Concept Wise. In concept wise, we have divided the chapter into different concepts, first the concept is explained.. and then the questions are done, from easy to difficult.
Once you do the chapter from concept wise, you can grasp the full concepts and do the questions.
Then, check the Sample Paper again... with Marking Scheme, and possibly of last year as well.
What next?
Well, you want more than 90?
Oh well.. great going!
Go about doing the Past Year Papers, which you can find in Teachoo website. Previous year papers of last 10 years have been added with marking scheme and solutions. Either you can try doing the paper like your actual board exam, or you can go through the paper by seeing the marking scheme.
Don't forget to see the solutions, they are very important.., as you need to see how to write the answers.
Once you are through with this, I suggest you relax and do the above things only.
But, if you want more practice, then read on.
Now, do the NCERT Exemplar, which can be found here - NCERT Books.
NCERT Exemplar is a set of additional books provided by the NCERT. Each chapter has some advanced concepts, and their questions.
These can also be considered as HOTS Questions (Higher Order Thinking Skills)In the Exemplar, you will each chapter with 1 mark, 2 mark, 3 mark and 5 marks questions. And their solutions are provided in the end of the book.
So, let's summarise. You have to
- Do the NCERT Questions - from the concept wise
- Learn the concepts
- Do the CBSE Sample Papers, or the Sample Papers we have provided for Class 6, 7, 8, 9, 11
- See the past year Papers
- See the solutions of the past year papers.. as it will help in seeing how to write answers
- Do the NCERT Exemplars, they serve as HOTS Questions for our preparation
And...You'll be good to go!
All the best for your exams
