Summer is coming up and you just want to lose those extra 10 pounds. If you want to lose weight, there is so much information out there that it can be confusing to figure out just how to kick that excess weight to the curb.

It seems like everyone is trying Keto these days. What the heck is a fat bomb anyway?

Or maybe you should try intermittent fasting - but that sounds like it might be for those hard-core tire flipping people in Crossfit.

Some celebrities have been jumping on the Whole30 bandwagon, so what about that one? Isn’t that the super drastic diet where you can’t have any alcohol or sugar??

Confused yet?? There’s so much diet information out there and so many programs that people want to sell you that it can make your head spin. And have you heading to that cookie jar just to deal with the extra stress.

Thankfully, there is a way to drop 10 pounds quickly. And you don’t even have to sign up for food deliveries or take a special pill with every meal. There is no way to lose 10 pounds overnight, but if you can make some adjustments to your diet for 10 days, you definitely can drop some extra weight.

It’s all about the carbs baby! If you want to lose weight quick and easy link, you have to eliminate the sugar and starchy foods in your diet.

Eliminating sugar and starchy carbs force your body to burn fat from your fat stores. It can also reduce your cravings and hunger which can help you to consume fewer calories each day, which also contribute to weight loss.

Foods to eliminate if you want to drop a few pounds fast: soda, sweets, candy, cookies, anything with added sugar, pasta, pastries, bread, rice, potatoes, breakfast cereal, etc.

You get the idea.

You don’t have to give up these tasty starchy carbs forever, just while you’re trying to jumpstart your metabolism to drop some fast weight. Once you have lost a few pounds, you can add some back in to your diet.

But the good news, is you get to replace those starchy carbs with protein, and nearly unlimited amounts of non-starchy vegetables. These non-starchy veggies are usually so low in calories that you don’t even have to weigh anything or count calories while you’re trying to lose a few pounds fast.

The magic number is 20-50 grams. That’s the maximum number you want to hit for your carb intake.

With this plan, you can eat 2-3 meals a day if you build them around a protein source, piles of vegetables and a healthy fat.

Other things to remember if you are trying to slim down quickly:

  • Keep your sodium intake low

  • Drink lots of water, coffee, and tea

  • Weigh yourself every day to keep yourself accountable and on track

  • Eat slowly so you can tell when you’re filling up.

Once you’ve dropped those few pesky pounds and can fit into that bathing suit, you may want to continue your weight loss with one of the many different diets for women. There are many out there that are easy to follow and allow for a slow and steady weight loss each week.
