Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of the country Igor Schweich said that in the near future will be able to name the countries, where cheese products will be delivered.

Ukraine is looking for new markets for their cheese products wholesale, which now are exported mainly in Russia and ready to name these countries soon, said at a briefing the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of the country Igor Schweich.

Russian government earlier suggested the Prime Minister for Economy Arkady Dvorkovich to think about creating a new term in legislation – "cheese products, not containing milk protein and fat" and put on the importation of the product from abroad protective tariffs, and until than to prohibit importation of "cheese products," most of which are coming from Ukraine.

"Statement of Russian agricultural supervision, from our point of view, is inadequate, because the quality of our cheeses meets international standards and Ukraine is a major supplier of cheese to Russia," - said Schweich.

He noted that Ukraine is now working on finding alternative markets for cheese products wholesale, and in the near future the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of the country intends to announce who are elected as new markets.

"If Russia believes that the consumers of the Russian Federation do not need our products, is a matter of policy of the Russian Federation, not the economy, not health requirements," - said the Minister.

This spring Russia imposed a ban on imports of Ukrainian confectionery factories of Roshen, also had a claim to the individual cheese producers. In response Ukraine withdrew from sale Russian pastry, cheese and fish products because of "contradictions with Ukrainian legislation". Russia in return suspended the import of dairy products from six Ukrainian producers due to a number of violations in production technologies. National Union of Milk Producers asked CPS to strengthen control over imports of "cheese products" with a high content of vegetable fats from Ukraine, which allegedly sold in Russia as pure dairy products and do not pass the veterinary and sanitary inspection.

Russia banned the import of Ukrainian products already in July 29, 2013. CPS reported that complaints about the quality of Ukrainian confectionery Roshen served as the basis for the ban on the importation of these products in Russia. CPS selected in Moscow four production factories of companies from Kiev, Vinnitsa, Mariupol and Kremenchug, which are owned by Roshen, and found violations of quality and safety.

In February 2012, the Federal Service on the results of researchers found out that the composition of cheeses of Ukrainian producers PE CF "Prometheus", JSC "Piryatinsky cheese factory", LLC "Gadyachsyr" Company "Lozovskaya Dairy Plant, PJSC "Dubnomoloko" contains fats, information about the presence of which was not indicated on the label. This is a violation of Russian technical regulations on milk and dairy products. As a result, production of the products of these companies were banned for sale in Russia.
