(1888 PressRelease) Data Control Technitic says it will make a surprise appearance at this year’s Auto Shanghai motor show.

Hong Kong-based LiDAR innovator, Data Control Technitic says it will have an official presence at the forthcoming Auto Shanghai motor show which runs from Tuesday 18th April to Thursday 25th April at Shanghai’s National (Shanghai) Exhibition and Convention Center.

Auto Shanghai, formally known as the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, is a biennial international car show that interchanges with the Beijing Auto Show as China's annual international automotive exhibition every other year.

Data Control Technitic says it will be showcasing its latest next generation LiDAR sensor and point cloud simulator at the stand. The exhibit will also see the firm show off its latest LiDAR kit for drones and UAVs using drones from a high end supplier in Hong Kong.

"The next generation LiDAR can’t be trialed at the show because there isn’t an autonomous vehicle suitably equipped and available for exhibition at this time but consumers will get a chance to see the advances we’ve made with regards to detail and point cloud density. We’ll also be tying in the feed from a HD video camera in order to show visitors the standard they should expect from a LiDAR set up when self-driving cars become widely available," enthused Data Control Technitic’s Chief Technology Officer.

The company has experienced a number of launch setbacks this year as the US China trade dispute shows little chance of being resolved but the Chief Technology Officer said that Data Control Technitic remains quietly confident that it will be able to debut many of the forthcoming innovations in the second half of the year.
