Agadir is a charming Moroccan city located on the Atlantic Ocean's shores near the Atlas Mountains. Today, it is one of the major 'winter sun' destinations for tourists from the countries of Northern Europe. You'll find it truly hard to believe that this Moroccan city was almost completely destroyed in the year 1960 by a major earthquake. The year-round pleasant climate of this city is one of its features that attract both residents as well as tourists. While holidaying in this city, you'll get to indulge in some exciting activities outdoors and explore its popular attractions.

One of the attractions you’ll get to visit during your cheap Agadir holidays is its enchanting beach, which is a vast stretch of clean, powdery sands. Those who wish to enjoy sun-bathing would benefit from the safe environment that the authorities provide for the visitors with the help of police patrols. You can also get sun-loungers and deck-chairs for hire during your visit to this beach. There are some cafes and restaurants nearby, which allows you to have some snacks and unwind with your favourite drink. Boat trips for a tour along the coast can also be arranged from the Agadir Beach.

During your Agadir holidays, don’t miss visiting the Kasbah. It was once a fortified town, which was constructed to defend the seaport and the town's inhabitants from attacks. The walls and gateway of Kasbah have been preserved well and you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the Atlantic coastline from this part of Agadir. You can find some interesting monuments in the city centre, such as the Grand Mosque and the Amazigh Museum. Upon visiting the Agadir Memorial Museum, you can find an interesting collection of the city's photographs that were taken in the early 20th century.

Crocopark is yet another intriguing place worth visiting during your Agadir holidays. This wildlife reserve is located at a distance of about 14 kilometres from the city and is home to the endangered Nile crocodiles. It would be quite exciting to watch these ferocious creatures closely as they move around in their natural environment, which has been created to suit their original habitat. They were endemic species of Morocco but were nearly wiped out by frequent hunting in the past. You can also see a wide range of flora in the gardens of this park, which comprise exotic and local plant species.

Located at a distance of 65 kilometres from Agadir is the Souss-Massa National Park. It is spread across a vast area of 330 square kilometres and comprises grazed steppe with dunes and wetlands. This national park houses colonies of a migratory bird species known as Northern Bald Ibis. The colonies of the ibis are situated on the coastal cliffs. You can find a visitor centre at the Oued Massa, a place that holds plenty of water and is a breeding place of marbled ducks. Other bird species you'll come across while exploring this national park are the red-necked nightjar, Moussier's redstart, and thick-billed lark.
