If you live in India, you must have definitely heard something like those who aren't good in math opt for commerce' or commerce is for those who want to enjoy' or the most common one there are not many opportunities in commerce', but believe me it can't be farther from the truth. Commerce is an amazing stream just like science or humanities with vast career opportunities, but many students misunderstand it due to wrong conceptions.

There are a lot of courses which you can opt for after commerce stream such as Bachelors of Commerce (B.com), Bachelors of Commerce (B.com Hons), Bachelors in Economics, Bachelors of Business Administration (B.B.A), Chartered Accountancy (CA), etc., but most of these courses are 3 year course or more. They are all good courses to consider but the problem with these courses is that they don't focus on practical skills and employability skills. But if you are one of those students who doesn't want to enroll in such a course and want to enroll in a course that focuses on practical skills and better job employment in a short time, then you should consider diploma courses.

Diploma courses are mostly one year course, with an emphasis on practical skills and employable skills in the field of Accounting, Taxation, banking, etc. The Institute of the Professional Accountants [IPA] is a government registered institute which offers certified diploma courses such as diploma in Taxation Law, diploma in Payroll, diploma in practical accounting, diploma in Accounting Finance Taxation banking and Payroll, SAP fico diploma, etc. and these diploma courses range from 6 months to 18 months. The benefit of opting for a diploma course is that it prepares the student for immediate employment and increases the chances of getting hired by a company. Both students with or without math are eligible for these diploma courses. These diploma courses are different from normal college or university education as these courses are completely practical in nature. There are various career options available after diploma courses such as Accountant, Junior Accountant.

There are many courses in commerce stream after 12th which one can opt but most of these courses take 3 years or longer and the chances of getting jobs immediately after doing these courses is low, because you will need to get higher education in the specified field in order to get a job, whereas the diploma courses are mostly one or two year courses which offer high chances of employment as these courses are prepared to develop skills in students which is employable in industry. The IPA is one of the few institutes who offer these certified diploma courses, and these courses are taught by skilled professionals who have experience in the industry. In today's world, many companies and industries prefer people who have skills rather than people who have knowledge so if you are looking for a course after commerce stream which can offer you a high chance of immediate employment, you should really consider diploma courses. you should really consider diploma courses.
