Alzheimer's is on the rise. Go ahead, Google it, and you'll find the numbers are astounding!

In March with this year, the Connecticut Post reported that this costs of caring for those experiencing this horrific condition was supposed to reach $200 billion dollars! However, I do not share this dollar amount together with you because I'm concerned about the cash. Not even close; I'm excited about the grade of our everyday life when something like Alzheimer's is increasing,, that tells me something is extremely 'wrong' and with awareness, could be reduced and quite possibly prevented.

My grandmother left this planet in 2006 while using proper diagnosis of Alzheimer's. Her last lucid words in my opinion were: 'I won't live this way'; though she couldn't quite grasp what 'this way' was. She was angry, frightened, trapped, removed, and above all hungry for love which has been rapidly slipping from her grasp. Oddly enough, her death certificate reflected the starvation factor claiming she died from complications due to anorexia. Hmmmmm...

Yet, my passion began revealing itself a long time ahead of the start of her condition because she wasn't the first in their family. She was among 13 up against residing in this manner. Some opted to stay against each other; plus some, like her, chose not too. Regardless of the road he / she took, I was, and remain, determined to lessen my chances, substantially!

  1. I stopped using antiperspirants and started using essential oils as being a deodorant. Jasmine, patchouli and sandalwood being exact. It smells differently on everyone; AND apparently decent on me because even today, I am approached by perfect strangers and asked what perfume I'm wearing. The reason for this step is due to the aluminum in antiperspirants that is absorbed directly into the bloodstream and contains been connected to Alzheimer's
  2. I eat intentionally. I don't eat so much with this and so much of that on a regular basis. I simply eat what my figure is asking for; watching how I feel and what's driving my hunger. With that said, there are a few basic guidelines: greens, whole grain products, low glycemic, lean protein from vegetable sources, unprocessed, simple clean foods. To put it one way, I follow an anti-inflammatory, alkaline forming lifestyle. Studying holistic nutrition and FOLLOWING my own, personal recommendations has proven to get truly effective. Not only is my thoughts as sharp as ever, I'm physically strong, I have no gray hair (confirmed by my hair dresser), few time lines, and my hormones come in check. PLUS, no warning signs of gum disease, cavities OR any indicators of early onset!
  3. Identify your craving for sugar. My guess is basically that you don't actually need or want the sugar; you're actually craving a sweeter life and ultizing sugar being a substitute. I digress... So yes, excess sugar intake (which can be also increasing as a result of all of the Fat Free products available and the subsequent flavor enhancers invest it's place) leads to Type 2 Diabetes. What does this relate to Alzheimer's? Plenty, they're linked. Those living with Type 2 Diabetes are near high-risk for developing this difficult condition. So, whether you're predisposed to Diabetes or already have it, you can not be a statistic, reverse those numbers, obtain it in check and lower the possibility of being another statistic.
  4. Include quality fats into the diet. Studies have identified benefits of using coconut oil as opposed to canola, vegetable or safflower oil. I also recommend raw hemp seeds combined with breakfast cereal, included into baked goods so on. Hemp seed is regarded as a total protein supplying fiber, omega 3?s and 6?s, vitamins B, A, D and E together with calcium along with other nutrients. Making hemp seed part of your regular diet not simply offers optimal brain health, it protects your heart, decreases the risk of diabetes (isn't nature fabulous?), cancer, enhances skin tone, promotes fat loss due to it's anti-inflammatory effects (gotta love momma nature) and yes it keeps your digestive track clean! Not to get excluded is essential olive oil. A good friend recently pointed this out and he or she is correct; essential olive oil carries a naturally occurring compound, oleocanthal, that has been found to improve the structure of neurotoxic proteins possibly linked to the progression of Alzheimer's. As it is with anything, information is subjective no you've any definitive answers. What I can say for certain, is prevention far outweighs reaction as well as a wholesome, intentional diet plan does wonders for wellbeing.
  5. Neurobics (my word) ~ maintain mind busy! Yes, exercising is vital, so, you should excersice; just alter the routine. We get bored with the same old thing, day in and trip. Even your body plateau with the same workouts; this goes true for the minds. Avoid driving a similar path to work, school or store; change things up. Try out different yoga practices; do puzzles, play board games, card games, the overall game of Twister; everything to maintain the mind stimulated and creating new connections.

And yet another forever measure... PLEASE touch people. The magic of our own touch triggers a lot of good things within the body, carp fishing bait boat keeping mental performance active, in addition to keeping the center happy! What better way to cut back danger feeling poorly?

In honor of good overall health... here's for you and your family!
