Getting into a graduate school is one of life’s greater achievements. Graduate school for all is a whole new perspective of their field and a much more in-depth learning experience. In order to assess this learning, most universities expect their students to write a thesis. With the recent introduction of thesis writing service online in USA, many students have been able to do better on their thesis. Nursing students are no different, they too are expected to write a thesis however, these days some universities are also allowing students to take on extra courses instead of doing a research-based paper. So if you are wondering "do nursing masters have to write a thesis? " or "do you have to write a thesis for nursing? " the answer is "not necessarily".

Although the thesis is no longer a mandatory requirement for most students doing their masters, some people still think that carrying out research for a thesis paper allows students an added advantage when it comes to employment. However, not all students have the patience to write a thesis and those who don’t should have the option to make up for it some other way, like by taking on additional courses. In some cases, these additional courses may even result in the acquisition of new skills.

If your university does not give you the option of taking up courses, you still have no reason to panic, cheap writing services are there to help you out. There are a lot of nursing thesis examples online and there are many thesis topics that may help you brainstorm and generate ideas for your paper.

Steps to writing a thesis

There are many reasons why people are afraid of writing a thesis, one reason is the level of stress that it induces on the writer and the amount of attention to detail it requires. Some of you might not be entirely confident in your ability to write and express yourself. For those who are worried about the write-up, there are many online writing services available now that can do your write up for you. However, whether you are doing your thesis on your own or paying a writing service to do it for you, you have to know the basics to know what you are getting yourself into.

Research question:

First things first, a thesis is defined as a write up of research that one carried out, aiming to answer one research question. So in order to do your thesis, you have to come up with a research question that will be what you need to answer by the end of your question. One example of a thesis research question is "how does lead in water affect children? ", this question though does seem like a good research question is actually very broad in context. In order to get better results try to be more specific with your research question, for example try saying "how has lead in water affected children’s physical growth in Flint?", in this question now we have managed to narrow down what kind of growth we are talking about and even managed to identify a geographical location where we would be carrying out our study. While at the beginning of your research time, you will have a vague question as you gain more knowledge through research you will be able to make a more specific question.

Thesis statement:

The thesis statement is a pair of sentences that essentially summarize your thesis and tells the writer what the thesis is about. Most students have a difficult time writing a thesis statement, however I would not recommend writing the thesis statement at the very beginning, but rather write it with the abstract at the very end or after all your research has been completed, because by that point you will be sound enough in your knowledge of your thesis to know what it is all about. If the thesis statement comes to you earlier on, that’s fine as well, but if you can’t write one that satisfies you then don’t stress too much about it, write what comes easily to you first.

Introduction, literature review, research methodology:

Since the introduction, literature review and research methodology are fairly easier parts of a thesis to write we suggest getting them out of the way.

However, you will only be able to complete them if you have done all your research and organized it, so you have a good idea of what you have done already and where the thesis is going.

In the introduction try to summarize the research’s objectives, methodology and findings to give the reader a quick overview. You can even talk about why the research matters and how it affects the people by identifying key stakeholders.

In the literature review, you will mention all the secondary sources that you had gone through when doing the research, talk about all the prior work that has been done on the topic and identify the research gap that is being addressed by your own research and thesis.

In your research methodology, you will talk in detail about what your research design is and why you decided to keep it that way, what theories you are using to carry out this research, the assumptions you make and the secondary and primary resources you used, even mention the sampling style. Most importantly address how you will maintain the validity and reliability of your research throughout the practical part.

Results, discussion, conclusion, and recommendations:

After implementing the above steps, write the main part of your thesis, the results, discussion on these results and findings, what conclusions can be safely drawn from these findings and lastly recommendations for the key stakeholders to put your research into effect.

In the results part, you must share what was it that you learned after employing the research methodology that you did. After having explained your research design and methods in the previous section, now it’s time for the reader to see what were the results acquired from those methods. Try and make the data as comprehensible and concise as possible, showing measurements of each indicator. Make charts and graphs to measure responses and show the intensity of the problem that persists.

In the discussion section, you will discuss what these findings suggest, and how your research has measured the significance of the problem. Add all the implications of your findings, all the possible ways in which these findings will affect the key stakeholders. Also mention the overall impact of the findings on other factors, what factors are contributing to the problem etc.

Conclude the discussion and thesis in the conclusion section, you may give a quick overview of the findings and the discussion and mention how one may proceed with the information from your research.

In the recommendations section suggest policy actions and other ways of engaging people to prevent the problem being faced and overcome its side effects.

Formatting of your thesis, really just depends on the citation style you are using, so make sure you know all the formatting requirements of the style you are working on. You may use a citation generator for your thesis, but adding them all into your word document through the referencing feature in the word will generate your bibliography in a second. Similarly, use the "add caption" feature for all the images and tables to get an automated list of figures and tables. Try and use all the built-in features of word to help yourself, it reduces a lot of fretting and stressing over tiny details.
