- Submit an EOI (Expression of Interest)
- Possess 65 points on points table
- Must be sponsored by an eligible relative or by a territory or state government agency (Invited pathway)
- Have a relevant occupation on SOL (Skilled Occupation List)

489 Skilled Visa holders are allowed to work for a full-time position and study for up to 4 years in a specified regional area of Australia. How to Apply for 489 Visa

Step No.1: Check whether your occupation is listed on the SOL (Skilled Occupation Lists)

Step No.3: Pass the Skills Assessment test
Applicants are required to pass the skills assessment and acquire an admissible score for their occupation to be eligible for Visa Subclass 489.
Step No.4: Submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) through Skill-Select
Once you get the positive skills assessment you will then need to submit an EOI through Skill-Select. The Skill-Select Program asks a number of questions related to your skills, work history and relevant background.
