Save Your Back and Get a Yard Sweeper!

I dislike raking leaves very much. Each fall as a child, my parents made me clean all the icky leaves that had accumulated in the bushes against the fence that separates our patio from the neighbors. I remember how I used to get mad because most of the leaves did not even fall off our own trees.

What injustice!!!

I wish I had had a sweeper back then. A garden lawn sweeper would not have helped me get the leaves out of the fence, but I could have used it to keep the leaves of the lawn in first place. Therefore, it does not allow them to accumulate. The lawn and garden sweeper helps to pick up the leaves after they have been in smaller piles too, so it would be good.

Bending down to pick up the leaves and putting them in a bag can be difficult for your back. And when raking, you must do this a lot for every handful or rake full of leaves. I used to be a zookeeper and spent many days bending down to rake... well, many nasty things in trash bags. One trick I learned back then was to keep the garbage bag open with my feet and then rake the contents. But you still had to be bent.

The best thing about lawn and garden sweepers is that they have a hopper that collects the leaves. Once the hopper is full, you can pick it up and place it in a garbage bag or in a composting container. This requires less flexion and tension in the back.

If you have a large yard and own a lawn or garden tractor, you can get a tow truck. These things are great! Some models, such as the 38-inch Agri-Fab trailer lawn sweeper, allow you to even tip the basket without even leaving the seat of your tractor. Another great back protector!

I do not know about you, but I’m not getting younger, and anything that can help relieve the stress in my back is welcome. I used to spend the weekend raking leaves just to have back pain next week while I was at work., I like lighter sweepers, like the 26-inch push sweeper Precision Products. Cheap at around $112, it is lightweight and can even hang on the wall of your garage. I prefer to keep up with the leaves, since they fall with one of these sweepers, then I will have to break my back all weekend.

Having the right tool for a job makes work a lot easier, not to mention healthy, enjoy having a yard sweeper to avoid leaning too much. A great advantage of using the right equipment is that it makes the task more pleasurable. For comments and more information on the best yard sweeper.
