Your kitchen may be the center of hearth and home. It is that you do the much of your house work, where you entertain your most familiar and cherished guests, and in places you nurture your loved ones. The decor inside your kitchen should support all those functions. Therefore, the kitchen must first be organized well to allow efficient as well as simple work conditions, after which made homey and exquisite. Design decor can affect both.

Work smarter not harder. Imagine that your kitchen was obviously a factory. How would you arrange it for optimum efficiency? First, arrange your kitchen ergonomically. Build counters and sinks and stoves to suit your height. Give yourself a comfortable stool or chair to support you when you are pairing and peeling. Store heavy things in a manner that allows you use of them without hurting your back.

Build twice as much shelving and cupboards when you want. You don't want to have your appliances cluttering work surfaces. If you have to lift dozens of gadgets each time you want to clean your counter top, you'll clean less often than you'll when the counter is clear. Hang or mount no matter what you can for the wall, rather than having it sit for the counter.

Now remember, you are not a ship's galley slave; your kitchen have to be pleasant and also functional. This means, for instance, that you should design your home with lovely windows that look out at the beautiful view. Large windows keep your kitchen from becoming claustrophobic. If the view are few things special, use window boxes to make a garden view which will obstruct the vista of anything ugly.

If your kitchen area is dark along with the light through the windows has a blue quality for it, use yellow or orange filmy gauze curtains to generate a warm sunny glow; it is going to boost your mood, motivation, and also the look of many food. Your artificial lighting must be warm colored too. Now available are energy saving fluorescent lights which has a warm soft light which doesn't flicker.

Decorate your walls with just a few sparsely placed art pieces that add splashes of color. This will not shrink or crowd the space visually, and yet it is going to make your home more homey and private.

Finally, steer clear of the ultra modern kitchen designs where every surface is metallic. Those were developed for easy sterilization, but are alienating and harsh whenever you sit within them. You are not owning a hospital cafeteria. Give your chairs cloth covered cushions in beautiful colors, and rehearse a fairly potted plant or flower as a focus to the table. Use bamboo or polished stone countertops, as both versions are strong and easy to sterilize, but give the area an earthier feel along with a little color.

When your home decor is both lovely and practical, the food will taste and look better. Your happiness and comfort will affect your cooking.
