Data analytics: a complete solution to all the problems
Posted: May 10, 2019
Introduction:
Data Analytics is the science which is used for analyzing a set of raw data to give conclusions about the information it possesses. The processes and techniques for making the use of the broad terms which consist of several analyses within it is data analytics. These analyses are now converted into algorithms or mechanical processes which then works within a set of raw data, which can then be used for human consumption. Data analytics helps a business to optimize its performance so that it can improve profitability.
Need for data analytics:
Analytics of data is very important, as it plays a huge role in the performance of a business, as it helps in its optimization. By making the use of data analytics in a business model, it helps the companies to reduce their costs by giving more effective and beneficial ways of running a business, plus it also helps in storing and having available large quantities of data. Data analytics can also be used by a company to give better and effective decisions, and also help in analyzing new customer trends. This helps in giving them more satisfaction for the services they receive which leads to better, new and more effective services and products.
Types of data analytics:
Data analytics can be broken down into four types:
- Descriptive analytics: Descriptive analytics means the description of what has been done over a given specific interval of time. For example, whether the number of likes and views have increased, or if the sales of the current month are more than the sales of the last month.
- Diagnostic analytics: Diagnostic analytics brings focus to the reason of something happening. This includes many different data inputs plus a little bit of hypothesis. For example, if the beer sales will be affected if there is a change in climate.
- Predictive analytics: Predictive analytics means to predict what is going to be happening in a few months or days. For example, what is the pattern of the sales that were made when there was a hot summer last time, or if there are many predictions of hot summer in this current year.
- Prescriptive analytics: Prescriptive analytics tells what course or step of action should be taken. For example, if the occurrence of a hot summer in this current year has an average of five models that is 58% higher, then in this case we should build inventories and also add one evening shift so as to make the output go up.
Data analytics dominates various quality controlling systems in the world of finance, such as the well-known and popular programs like Six Sigma. If one is not measuring properly, such as the number of errors per million of a production line or weight consistency, then it is not possible to optimize the process.
Data analytics is used in various fields such as hospitality and travel industries where the turnaround is very easy and quick. These industries can collect and organize the customer data, take feedback of any problem and fix them.
If as a student you want to study about a new course that is highly in demand and also trending nowadays, then you should take up the data analytics training provided by ExcelR.
