The new Nissan Coupe is an excellent roadster that every petrolhead would be happy to drive and own. However, driving a performance car can take a little getting used to for many people. This is particularly true if you suffer from motion sickness during a car journey. In this article, we will look at four tips to help you to manage your motion sickness issues in a Nissan Coupe.

1. Drive the Car

When you sit in any car and you have motion sickness issues it’s a great idea to sit up front. This will help you to clearly see the road stretching ahead, and it gives your brain something to focus on. When you can see what’s coming, you’re far less likely to suffer from motion sickness. If you can, it’s an even better idea to drive the car yourself, when you need to focus on driving you’re less likely to experience motion sickness at all.

2. Take Regular Breaks

It’s a great idea to take regular breaks to allow your brain to relax and stay in one place for a little while. Taking deep breaths of fresh air is a fantastic way to oxygenate your brain and allow it time to rest and adjust before continuing your journey. Stopping on a regular basis will also help you to combat the effects of driving fatigue. Driving the new Nissan Coupe is excellent fun, it’s an exhilarating experience, and it can dump a lot of dopamine into your system. Eventually, you will start to experience fatigue, and this is a good time to pull over and get some much needed rest.

3. Wear a Wrist Band

There is no medical or scientific evidence to prove the hypothesis that wearing a wristband will help you to deal with motion sickness. However, many people swear by them, and they don't exactly break the bank; who knows they may work for you and they might not. The idea is that the wristband presses on the radial artery and this helps to stabilise you and counter your motion sickness. It’s a cheap option, and it’s drug free, so if your sensitive to motion sickness medications or you don’t want to take them, it’s a possible solution that may be worth further exploration.

4. Food and Drink

It should go without saying that alcohol is off the menu when you’re driving or you need to avoid motion sickness. However, it is important to eat and drink in the right way if you don’t want to feel sick during a car journey. Stick to lighter meals eaten more frequently as heavier food could make you feel queasy. Avoiding spicy food is also a good idea as it can make you feel uncomfortable and bloated which could trigger your motion sickness. Sip a bottle of water periodically to stay hydrated and avoid chugging down large quantities of liquid at once.
