Filters are porous devices which are used for purification of any gas or liquid passing through it by removing impurities from them. Filters are typically made of thin surface coated polyester films, woven and knitted fabrics, cotton, paper and other synthetic and organic membranes. Introduction and implementation of Kyoto Protocol and other similar emission norms is expected to drive the market for filters over the forecast period. In addition, these norms define emission standards for other sectors of the market such as motor vehicles, consumer goods and utilities.
