Hybrid Camber: It is a mixture of both flat and traditional style. The camber (portion of timber between the feet) is usually made as the traditional style such that it does not touch the surface while the portion below the feet is made flat. This is preferred by the people who are opting for power riding. Mostly the professionals prefer hybrid camber design.
Parts of the board that are emphasized during snowboard manufacture:
Camber: It is the part of the snowboard which remains between the feet. Modern day snowboards are basically designed on the basis of their camber variation. Variation of camber is done to support the proficiency of the rider.
Nose and Tazz: The Front end of the board is called as nose and the rear end is called as the tazz. These are the portions of the timber under the rider’s feet. These parts play a major role in controlling the ride. The design is done on the basis of aggression of the rider.
Flat: It is not a specific part of a snowboard and is named if the portion of the timber if designed flat. For Flat camber design, the central part is called as flat while in hybrid camber the part close to the nose and the tazz are made flat.
Reverse: You will find this part basically in the flat camber type of board which lies basically under the rider’s feet.
