Further, the black masterbatch offers economical colouring, enhance UV stability and resistance to weather properties in polyolefin applications. That is why the MB is provided to make ducts, water pipes, and other products. For maximum UV protection, the final product should be 2.5% of carbon black.

The black MB consists of several materials compound to add to base polymer for the maximum benefits. It has the following materials -
White masterbatch is a concentrate of titanium dioxide (Tio2) in a polymer carrier. The composition in the MB consists of 10% to 75% loading. Based on the form, the MB ensures higher dispersion, opacity, colour strength and UV stability. The MB is used as a colour pigment and filler to increase functionalities to the end product during manufacturing processes.
The loading of titanium dioxide is decided based on the end product requirement. For the thick film (40 -200 microns), MB should be 40-60% of TiO2 while thin film needs excellent dispersion in the processing. With the use of this masterbatch, the end products enjoy high white index making it economical for business. So, the white masterbatch is designed depending on the industrial applications for base polymers.
