1888PressRelease - CoreTechnologie release Additive Manufacturing for pre processing of 3D models for metal and plastic printing.

Southfield, MI – CoreTechnologie (CT), the leading global provider of CAD converter, CAD viewer and 3D interoperability software, launches new software suite for additive manufacturing named 4D_Additive. For the first time, 3D models from common CAD formats can now be processed directly as exact, intelligent B-Rep geometry for all additive manufacturing processes.

4D_Additive reads CAD data from 24 different formats (e.g. CATIA, NX, SOLIDWORKS, Creo, Inventor, STEP and JT) as exact B-Rep geometry with all manufacturing information, attributes and parametric data. Due to the robust B-Rep geometry core of the software, it is possible to check, repair and prepare the models according to global CAD engineering standards.

One highlight of the software is the revolutionary texture module, with which more than 5,000 different surface structures can be accessed. The software automatically ensures distortion-free projection of the grain across surface boundaries. Learn More

For Nesting and optimization of the building platform, the database can be used to store the common machine types with their installation spaces and intelligent nesting functions ensure fast, simple filling and optimum utilisation of the installation space. A special analysis function enables the visualisation of the expected surface quality in real time and achieves optimal alignment of the part to be produced swiftly. Additionally, components that are too large for the installation space of a machine can be separated with different patterns such as T-shape, dovetail or jigsaw shape, which can be perfectly plugged together after printing.
