Phthalocyanine is an organic pigment that is widely used in various industries, namely, textiles, paper and plastic. They are widely used organic pigments which find extensive use in various industries including textiles, paper, plastics, etc. They mainly contain blue and green which are used as dyes and pigments. The effect is long lasting compared to many colors and seems to be a very popular choice. Phthalocyanines are the second most important class of colorant, and copper phthalocyanine is the single largest-volume colorant sold. Traditional usesof phthalocyanine colorants are as blue and green pigments for automotive paints and printing inks and as blue/cyan dyes for textiles and paper.

GREEN 7

Phthalocyanine Green 7 also commercially known as Green 7 is a synthetic green pigment from the group of phthalocyanine dyes, a complex of copper(II) with chlorinated phthalocyanine. Phthalocyanine Pigment Green 7 CAS number 1328-45-6 and 1328-53-6. It is a soft and green powder which is not soluble in water. Phthalocyanine Green Pigments have excellent all-round fastness properties in all type of media. Phthalocyanine Green Pigments have high tinctorial strength and excellent fastness to solvents, heat, light, weathering and have good dispersion properties.

Phthalocyanine Greens are effective in terms of cost amongst other, particularly when high-all-round fastness properties are required. In terms of health and environment these pigments are not associated with toxic or fire hazards.

Because of its non-toxic nature it is also used in cosmetics applications.

PROPERTIES:

  • Phthalocyanine Pigment Green 7 is known for its high stability of its molecules.
  • As it is insoluble, it does not have tendency to migrate in material.
  • It is resistant to alkali, heat, ultraviolet radiations and solvents.
  • It has transparency.

AREAS OF APPLICATION:

  • Due to its stable nature, Phthalocyanine Green 7 is used in ink, coatings, and many plastics.
  • This pigment is a bright, high intensity colour used in oil and acrylic based artist's paints, and in other applications.

GREEN 36

Phthalocyanine Pigment 36 is a strong, extra blue shade brominated phthalocyanine green pigment of excellent value, tinting strength and colour purity. It is strong, yellow shaded and fully brominated phthalocyanine pigment with excellent value, tinting strength and colour purity. This organic pigment has excellent overall properties.

This range has excellent overall properties compared to other Green pigments The shade of the Phthalocyanine Pigment Green 36 is between that of a typical Pigment Green 7 and Pigment Green 36 type.
