There’s News About Why 100% VG E-liquid brands Are Changing
Posted: Jun 23, 2019
For a few years, manufacturers of E-Liquids brands have been taking a look at their formulas and determining what is the best mixture for vapers to use. Some 100% VG E-Liquid brands have changed their mixes to include PG (Propylene Glycol) because they found it enhances the flavors and cloud density without creating any detrimental effects for its use.
VG and PG Are Both Organic Compounds
Vegetable Glycerine and Propylene Glycol have both been designated "organic" compounds by the US Department of Agriculture. That means each has the chemical makeup of products that come from nature. Propylene Glycol can be found in many products like soft drinks, frozen meals, artificial sweeteners, foods with natural flavorings, spices, cake mixes, marmalades, salad dressings, and many other consumable products. It is not required to be listed on the ingredients label but it is there nonetheless.
Smax Blends VG and PG Perfectly
The flavors Smax offers are all made with a combination of VG and PG. Some flavors have a little more PG and some have less. The content makeup of the flavors Smax offers is:

Don’t Be Fooled
Smax’s competitors who are 100% VG E-Liquid brands try to use the "Vegan" claim stating their products are more natural or more organic but the fact is they aren’t. Both ingredients are natural and organic and there is no difference with respect to either being more natural or organic than the other. Some advocates for Propylene Glycol point out that the compound actually reduces throat irritation and enhances the flavors of the the E-Liquid, eliminating the need for artificial sweeteners or artificial flavorings.
Let’s put it on the table so no one thinks we’re trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes. Propylene Glycol is a derivative of Petroleum that is produced after three distillations and has been proven to have zero negative effects on the human body. It is a colorless, odorless, slightly sweet liquid that is slightly thicker than water. As such, it is an excellent way to keep liquids from dissipating and is used in E-Liquids for just that reason. So 100% VG E-Liquid brands really have no advantage over E-liquids that incorporate PG into their products.
Don’t Take Our Word For It Ask PubMed
Customers who have questions or concerns about VG and PG ingredients in E-Liquids can go online to the US Government health website at www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov and see what the US Government has to say about VG and PG. There are many articles discussing research projects into VG and PG with the results published for all the world to see. If there were any chance PG was a danger, the folks at Smax wouldn’t put it in their formulas and flavors - period. The bottom line is there is no advantage that 100% VG E-Liquid brands have over Smax’s products.
