JOSAA Seat Allotment 2019

The first round of JOSAA Seat allotment 2019 will be held on 27 June 2019. Through JOSAA Seat allotment 2019, students will get admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs). The registration process for Josaa 2019 had been started from 16th June 2019. The aspirants will have to register and select their preferences till June 25, 2019. Before the real JoSAA seat allotment 2019, the authorities will conduct two rounds of mock allocation. The Seat allotment of JOSAA 2019 will be conducted in 7 rounds. Only those candidates are eligible to take part in JOSAA Seat Allotment 2019 who appeared in JEE Mains 2019 or qulified JEE advanced exam. JOSAA 2019 Seat AllotmentJOSAA seat allotment 2019 process will be conducted for all those candidates who appeared in JEE Mains or qualified JEE advanced exam. Here we describe the complete procedure of JOSAA 2019 Seat Allotment. Let's have a look on complete details of JOSAA seat allotment process of 2019 session in the following points.

JOSAA 2019 Registration - First, you have to register yourself for JOSAA 2019 to take part in the seat allotment process. For registration, Candidates will have to log in to their account using their credentials and fill in the JoSAA 2019 Seat Allotment form with the basic details such as state eligibility code, contact information, etc.

Choice Filling - After registration choices will be listed. Enter choice according to your preference. Fill choices as many as possible.

Locking Of choice - After filling the choices, the student will have to lock the same for theJOSAA 2019 seat allotment. In case if any candidate does not lock his/ her choices, then their last saved choices will be locked automatically when the time window for the filling in of choices closes.

JOSAA Seat Allotment 2019 - Before JOSAA Seat Allotment 2019, there will be two mock rounds conducted for counselling. JOSAA will conduct these 2 mock rounds for students to get familiarized with the choice filling and JOSAA seat allotment process 2019. After the mock rounds, total 7 rounds of seat allocation will take place and candidates will have to take a decision on the seat allocated to them.

Seat Acceptance - If aspirants get the desired seat what he/she wants, then they will have to pay the seat acceptance fee and report to the reporting centre. In case the candidates are not satisfied with the seat allotted to them then they can exercise the following options.
Freezing - This option will be selected when candidate satisfied with the allotted seat. This will confirm that the candidates will not participate in the further round of seat allocation.
Slide - This option has to be selected if the student accepts their allotted seat but are also open for admission into a higher preferred course in the same college.
Floating - This option will indicate that the student wishes to accept the present allocated seat but is also looking for an up-gradation if admissions are open in a better/ higher preferred institute and course.
Reporting to the CollegeIf the candidate opted for freeze option then it will be considered that he/she is satisfied with allotted seat. The student will have to report to the reporting centre for document verification. Finally, he/she will have to report to the college as per schedule with the required documents and fee. However, the candidate can withdraw an accepted seat up to the sixth round of seat allotment.
JOSAA Seat Allotment 2019 - Withdrawal of seatsThe selected candidate can withdraw his/her allotted seat before the final round of JoSAA seat allotment 2019. To withdraw the seats, you will have to report to the nearest reporting centres. After withdrawing seat, the candidates will not be able to eligible for any more rounds of allotment. Those aspirants who withdraw their seats will be refunded the seat acceptance fee after deducting Rs. 1000 as processing charge. However, the candidate can withdraw an accepted seat up to the sixth round of seat allotment.
Dual AllotmentIf any candidate has been allocated a different seat from the previous allotment have to go to the reporting centre again. For example, if aspirant has been allocated an NIT in the previous round and has now been allocated an IIT then he/ she needs to visit the reporting center once again.
