Umrah is the holy crave of all the Muslims. While Hajj can be performed at some specified days, Umrah can be performed at any time of the year. As Makkah is the holiest city for the Muslims, Madinah also holds a great religious significance as the Holy Prophet (PBUH) spent a holy time of his (PBUH)’s life there. Although Hajj and Umrah can be performed without paying a visit to each and every place associated to history or religion the believers in Islam desire to visit maximum places in both Makkah and Madinah they can during their stay at the land of Arabia. Below are mentioned a number of must-visit places in Madinah with either their religious or historic significance.

Places to visit

1.Mosque of Prophet (PBUH)

Mosque of Prophet (PBUH) widely known as Masjid e Nabwi is the second holiest mosque of Islam. It is the first mosque that was constructed by Prophet (PBUH) after Hijrat to Madinah. All holy traveler desire to offer prayer in Masjid e Nabwi due to the significance attached to by the association of Prophet (PBUH)’s holy grave in it.

2.Mosque of Quba

The second largest Mosque in Madinah after the Mosque of Prophet (PBUH) is Mosque of Quba. This mosque was also built by Prophet (PBUH) after arrival in Madinah. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) himself carried materials to the area during its construction. It is known for both its large and vast area as well as beauty and grandeur.

3.Mount of Uhud

This Mount holds a great significance in Islamic history as the famous battle of Uhud between the Muslims of Madinah and the Kufaar of Madinah was fought at this place. It is located 5 km away in the North of the city of Madinah. Another important factor raising its historical and religious importance is the presence of the grave of Prophet (PBUH)’s uncle Hazrat Hamza on it.

4.Masjid Al Ahzaab

Masjid Al Ahzaab as its name says is associated with the battle of Ahzaab where the disbelievers attacked on the Muslims of Madinah.

Another fact is that the Prophet (PBUH) prayed to Allah Almighty to grant His help and support to the Muslims during the battle and Allah blessed them with the tremendous victory. Although six other mosques are also present near this mosque, it is unique in its grandeur and beauty and a worth visiting site, if you happen to make it to Madinah by availing any cheap Umrah packages 2020.

5.Al-Baida also is known as Wadi e Jinn

This a famous valley located about 40 km away from Madinah in the Northwest. The fact that makes its name as well as this place unique is the various rumors that the villagers have spread about this place. One of them includes that cars drive in this valley without the presence of any driver in the car. Another mysterious effect is the horrifying voices that are believed to be of the Jinn present in this valley.

6.Yunbu-the famous beach near Madinah

This famous garden of Hazrat Salman Farsi (RA) is known so because of the incident associated with it. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) planted approximately three hundred date palm trees to make Hazrat Salman Farsi (RA) free from the slavery of Persians. Holy pilgrims should visit this beautiful garden still containing delicious and tons of dates in it.

10.Masjid Al Qiblatain

This is a beautiful mosque in Madinah particularly known for its remarkable structural pattern and spacious hall for offering prayers.

It is also known for the twin Mehrabs it contains and leaves the believers with great spiritual experience. This is the mosque where the Prophet (PBUH) received Allah’s message to change the Qibla towards which the Muslim used to pray from Masjid e Aqsa to Holy Kaabah.
