After completing the German Study program a student’s residence permit will also expire automatically. Students who wish to extend their stay back in Germany to get work in Germany based companies, must apply for Residence Permit in Germany within 90 days from completion of the academic program so that he can stay back in Germany. This permit in particular will help an international student who wishes to establish their career in abroad. This Residence permit of Germany in particular is valid for 18 months. Certain documents are required from those who are applying for residence permit under this category. They are listed below-

1. Passport
2. University’s degree stating that you have completed your program successfully. This document is particular should contain an official stamp.
3. Health insurance certificate
4. Document such as- Bank statement which will prove that you have the means to support yourself. The assertion of commitment should be given in case if he is not able to proof his eligibility to support.

Those who have returned to their own native region can apply for Job Seeker Visa in Germany

. Please note that the candidates who want to stay back in Germany for job seeking process, they don’t fall under the category 1. Job Seeker Visa in Germany is valid for 6 months which grants the candidate to look for various job opportunities during their stay back in Germany. The candidates who fall under this category are bound under certain condition which are-

1. Applicant must have a university degree during the time of applying for Job Seeker Visa in Germany. It is not compulsory for the candidate to have the degree of the University of Germany only.
2. Financial resource in order to prove that you can fund your stay in Germany.

Category 2- Germany’s Residence permit who are employed

Under this category, students who have already found a suitable job as per their education qualification are eligible to apply for Germany Residence permit. Eligible employed candidates may either apply for Germany’s Residence Permit or Germany’s E.U Blue card. Though both differ from each other, both can be beneficial for the ones who are applying for PR in Germany after being employed successfully.

Those who are applying through German Resident Permit will limit their areas of employment as they will be permitted to stay back in Germany and only work in Germany. With German Residence permit, you can stay back abroad and work but it is only valid for 6 months. Whereas, if you apply for a E.U blue card then your areas to work will be throughout Europe and the Shenagan Area. The EU blue card includes various constituent E.U countries. But if you are planning for longer term opportunities, the German Residence permit is a better choice than E.U Blue Card

European Union Directive has granted various opportunities to international students who decide to stay back and make their career in abroad. E.U blue Card is a residential title and beneficial as it-

1. Grants legal stay to non European citizens
2. Facilitates Family reunification
3. Provides equal salary and working conditions for card holders.
4. Enables free movement in Schengen area. Schengen area is a collective zone of 26 countries which covers most of the European countries except the U.K,Ireland and the countries that are soon to be part of which are- Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Cyprus.

Eligibility for German’s E.U Blue Card

1. Applicant must be non- EU citizen.
2. Must have impressive educational qualification and skills.
3. Must hold a job offer with minimum annual gross salary of €49,600.

The blue card at first is issued for minimum 1 year and maximum 4 years. The contract of employment must correspond to minimum of such a term. The term of the blue card may be extended several times.

Part Time Job in Germany

According the normal trend, international students can work for 20 hours a week as a part time job and earn €10 per hour. You can work as a waiter in a cafe or in a restaurant or a cab driver.
