Are you bored with your old fashioned TV and model 19 speakers? If yes, then you have come to the right place. This article will tell you how you can set up a home theater in 2019 with different components and parts. So let’s get started and see what things we need to make our home a home theater.

What Do We Need To Setup A New Home Theater?

Do you have a 4K or Full HD TV? Do you have a home theater speaker system such as 5.1 or 7.1 channel speaker system? Do you have a Blu-ray player or DVD player? Do you have a media streaming player such as Amazon TV Fire Stick, Roku, or Apple TV? If you are missing any components, then you will have to buy them to set up a perfect home theater. A 7.1 speaker system will be better for setting up a perfect home theater.

5.1 Channel Speakers System Setup

In a 5.1 channel home theater, you have the front left and right speakers, a center one, left and right surround speakers and a subwoofer. Below are some tips to place them in such a way to experience the cinema hall sound quality.

  • Front center speaker: Put it underneath your TV or in the front-center.
  • Subwoofer: Put it in the left to the right side of your TV (never fix a subwoofer to the wall at a certain height, the subwoofer is meant to be placed directly on the ground).
  • Front Left and Right Channels: Place at their corresponding sides, the left speaker must be placed at the left side of your TV and the right speaker to the other side. The front speakers must be placed proportionally to the center speaker.
  • Rear/ Surround left or right speakers: Put them at the 140-150 degrees from your TV or projector screen. These speakers should be a little behind to your seating.

7.1 Channel Speakers System Setup

  • Front speakers setup would remain the same as the setup of 5.1 speakers. It means that your front center, left/right, and subwoofer speakers would stay the same as above.
  • Left /right surround speakers: These speakers should be placed at the right and the left side of your seating.
  • Rear surround speakers: They should be placed slightly behind you and their responsive sides.
